Guest TOPFITTER Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 Well one of the shortest journeys for me this season 204 miles return to Shielfield Park. The question I'm asking myself is, is this another game where the Blue Toon grind out another 3 points towards their promotion goal or will they be in festive mood and revert to their early season profligacy and hand Berwick an early Christmas present? As usual the result will depend on whether Peterhead are a fortress at the back or as full of holes as a Swiss cheese !!! Saw Berwick earlier in the season V Peterhead (not impressed) and Jim MacInally's men have vastly improved since then so unless Berwick have then the grinders will probably have the edge. Any suggestions for Eating, I'm driving so no need for anything alcoholic? Many thanks, see you tomorrow.
Redcar Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 0830 pitch inspection. Pitch was frozen yesterday and frost forecast tonight. The pitch has been covered though. Castlegate chippy is a good Value traditional fish and chip restaurant. Interestingly different pie menu in Brown Bear pub. Plenty other cafes and pubs, though not too much near the ground. Inside the ground though is a popular fish and chip van specialising in fatty snacks. As for Berwick, I hope Notman has shaken off the flu. Also probably time to give Chris McDonald a start. We won at Peterhead a few weeks ago and played really well to beat Stirling 2 weeks ago. On the other hand, we were apparently dreadful at Montrose last week. Pretty well anything could happen.

Usually park in the town and theres plenty of choice the leaping salmon is fine , but the brown bear pub posted above sounds interesting, nothing really at the ground

A 444 mile round trip from Peterhead with a 8.00am start so let's hope the game is on and a welcome 3 points at the end of it.
sammyreidloyal Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 If someone knows ASAP,I have 303 miles just to get there!!
peternapper Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Pity to be without a game again just when we were getting a bit of momentum going. Was going for the weekend so will have to look for something else to do. Spoke to someone at the ground & think they tried their best to get it on but colder than expected & frost had got through the covers they had put down
sammyreidloyal Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 That’s that then... Metro Centre it is
