Stenhousemuir vs Elgin

Recommended Posts

Looking forward to this today. Need a win here as our home record recently has been dreadful. Last win at home was a 3-0 victory over Edinburgh on the 30th September. :shutup

Safe journey to the Elgin fans travelling down

Mon the Warriors.

Hopefully we can pick up all three points. But we’ve put pressure on ourselves with that draw against cowden. We needed three points if we were to allow ourselves breathing space if we were to drop points today

Elgin are a very handy side and have been in recent years. Hopefully we can take all 3, but realistically I think it will be a draw.

As good as we have been this season, although we still contrived to make it twitchy when Elgin scored with, I think, their only shot on target. Harry Paton was simply outstanding. His goal was a thing of beauty. Nicked the ball on the half way line, skipped past the defender and then dinked it over the keeper. Loads of positives today.

The way we played in the first half I thought we were going to lose 6 or 7. Better in the second with the wind at our backs but still poor. I'm not going to blame the weather or the plastic pitch, but our current players seem to struggle badly with both. Stenhousemuir deserved their win, but bloody hell, we made it easy for you at times, particularly your 3rd and 4th goals.

I like the way your number 7 spent the game between our centre backs, meant our defence couldn't settle at all and whenever the ball came forward there was a player there waiting for it. Also helps when he's taller than the defenders!

Our keeper's kicking is terrible just now, balls straight into touch, or kicking it so high into the wind that by the time it lands it's already coming back without anyone touching it.

Yes I am his great uncle far removed from another mother. I think you`ll find I have a great affinity with all the ex rovers boys. The Dunlops pictures are all over my bedroom. Big Marks are all over my wifes room and Jamie Longworth is pride of place in living room. Merry christmas you filthy animal lol. PS I don`t believe you are the real Fabregas either, xx
