KierenAAFC
Woops - just seen Cranes is initially until 15th & PJs the 4th. Same team again but good to see a healthier bench. Mon the wasps!
Hampden Diehard
I'll be critical...another game where we were the better sidè and couldn't hang onto a win. That said, I thought we were very good. Green surprised me; Galt was excellent and Mortimer gave it his all... but needs to score a goal. I'd have snapped the hand off you for a draw before the game but it feels like 2 points lost. BigMartyn86
Lucky to get a point today. We've got skilful players in the team but resort to playing long balls all day and cutting out the midfield. I still think Taggart should be right back as he is more use there than at centre back due to the attacking threat he brings to the team.

McKeown was back on the bench this afternoon, so I would expect to see him playing CB in the next couple of games, with Taggart returning to RB. That also means Robertson can move further up the park.

I thought we were a lot more positive after going ahead than we have been. Alloa only two shots on target, and we tried to keep controlling midfield. Very good strike from Donnelly. Despite the shocking penalty and his apparently casual style, I'd keep him in the team. I thought Fotheringham shined today also.
bridgeofweirdo
Extremely unlucky not to get all 3 points today. Alloa must be happier with their one point than us. An all round good performance from everyone and a joy to see us pushing on at 2-1 up instead of recent shutting up shop routine. Unfortunately we couldn't put the game to bed despite a couple of gilt edged chances nevertheless there is a confidence about the team that didn't exist a couple of months ago and if we continue like this I'm sure we can end up mid table or better. Big game on Saturday -bring it on and keep it going...........
an86
Would have taken the point before the start. What happened against Albion Rovers would have rattled a lot of teams, but the players showed incredible character after going 1-0 down early on. Every one of the players put in a terrific shift and I’m gutted for them that we didn’t hang on. I don’t feel we’ve quite been getting the points that the effort is merited. A great chance to make it 3-1, just as we did at Ayr, and we didn’t take it. Ultimately, we get punished again because Alloa take their chance at a crucial moment. A lot has been made of the loss of goals, but failure to finish teams off is killing us just as much. We could have put Alloa away today, same with Rovers, and possibly down at Ayr as well. Much to be positive about. I don’t think the players can give more and they’ve just got to keep plugging away and hope performances turn into wins. Same level of commitment and performance on Saturday and I’ll be happy.

That also means Robertson can move further up the park. I hope he keeps Taggs at centre back. We've been solid defensively since he's been there with his extra pace and being comfortable on the ball.Robbo is an excellent midfielder, but who would you drop to accomodate him, bearing in mind Cawley was also missingfrom the team yesterday? Myko
Goodwin has a few tough calls to make, having to accommodate 14/15 players who could all justify a starting place at the moment. Ross Stewart has had an amazing impact in his first couple of games and can lift the team like Kirkpatrick did last season. I'd like to see more of Adam Martin who is very dynamic but getting in ahead of Flannigan and Crossan who are playing well is a tough ask. Not a fan of Robertson at RB, but it'd be unfair to drop either Hetherington or Fleming who have been strong lately to accommodate him in a more central role. Renton looks to have had a kick up the erse since his spell at Cowden and looks to have settled well. Is Daryl Meggatt due back soon ?
English Wasp
Is Daryl Meggatt due back soon ? The club website says middle of February, but I'm not too sure how up to date that is. Once he returns, that's another conundrum for Goodwin, as he's sure to force his way into the starting 11.

Not a bad thing I suppose that there's competition for almost every position but if he tries to shoe-horn players in to the side it could have an adverse affect. On paper Meggatt probably merits a start at LB when he's fit but Crane has been very polished thus far from what I've seen.
Father Barrys Sign (Top Half)
We seemed quite content to sit on the early lead, and coasted way too much. Although Queens scored with their only real clear cut chance I thought we only had ourselves to blame going in at the break level. I was hopeful the equaliser would bring us to life and start the second half strongly. Instead the opposite happened. The penalty was a stone waller and Queens deserved their lead. I was laughing at Gus McPherson berating his players second half- they were doing a great job completely nullifying Alloa. We tried everything, from immediately switching to back 3 and eventually sticking Andy Graham up front. Finally Adam Martin was introduced. He didn't do all that much creatively, but helped stretch Queens out which allowed us to find space and create a couple of openings late on- one of which we converted. I thought Fleming was probably our best player before he was understandably sacrificed. Ross Stewart busy and causing problems. But other than that our poorest outing since Stranraer away...
