Thistle V Killie (07/04/18)

Recommended Posts

Happy Easter f**kers !!!

Looking forward to our wee trip to Maryhill, normally a good day out and a happy hunting ground, according to flashscores, we haven't lost there since 2003.

Expecting a hard encounter with Patrick who are fighting for their lives but I can see SC changing it up a bit, bringing back the likes of Broaders, Jones, Tshibola & Mulumbu to keep the pressure on Hibs for 4th place.

3-1 Killie, (Boyd, Erwin x2) for Killie with Sammon replying for the home side......

I think SC may bring him on from the bench, I don't see us starting with Boyd, Brophy & Erwin upfront, like yesterday, away from home.

If Archibald persists with Devine on the right side of a 3 man defence, JJ has to start imho.

Then again what do I know lol.

you absolutely strolled it against us in the 2-0 at Firhill where Keown gifted Boyd a nice easy finish (crazy to think that I thought Boyd looked finished at top flight level against us in recent seasons, some turnaround). I'd hazard a guess that you strolled it when you smashed us 5-1.

We've not improved since then. We're also absolutely terrible at coming from behind (ohmatron.jpg) so if you score first even if its early in the first half you can fairly safely bet your savings on Killie holding on for the win.

edit: O'Donnell and Jones could have a lot of joy against whatever jobber we fling at left back.

Thistle in the 2-0 game were comfortably the worst team I've seen this season and surely they can't be that bad again. We have came on leaps and bounds since then and strolled it against Hamilton at the weekend without getting out of second gear. That said, we're bound to slip up at some point, surely?

There would be some kind of irony in us not being able to beat Killie at home over the last 4 years when they've turned up with absolute shit, and now they're flying, for us to scrape a 1-0 win.

In the real world these things don't happen and I'll confirm my prediction as to how heavily we'll lose after Tuesday night.

Look on the bright side, Thistle fans - you may get resoundingly gubbed by the bleux et blanc, but at least you'll be able to witness, first hand, the dazzling beauty of the big ride that is SOD.

The climax of a heroic week for Thistle. Six points in the bag. Killie sent home wondering how they got their sense of entitlement stuck so far up their arses. Scrappy home win.

Low blow mate. Just tell us you're going to ride us to a 6-0 drubbing. But not this. That's just cruel.

I actually don’t think SOD would have made a big difference for us this year. Good player at this level, undoubtedly, but he’s a real confidence player and does his best work on a team that’s winning games and playing attacking football. It’s why he was great with us previously, then shite at Luton, and is now flourishing in this Killie team. And unlike this season’s Killie team, we've been fucking shite.

If we signed SOD, he’d be our 6th right back of the season. That’s Lee Clark levels right there. Might mean we gub Falkirk in the second leg of the playoffs. I’ll take that right now...

I'd tend to agree, during the 1st 8 games under McCulloch he looked like a player who had no confidence, but since SC arrived he's been different class, probably our most consistant player tbh.

I know I might be bias but he's definitely worth McLeish giving him a run out in the two summer games, possibly one of the Killie players Big Eck mentioned, during his TalkSport interview last week, was worth a look at.
