Richey Edwards Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Has anyone ever been to watch this team? I am curious as to whether they actually have any fans?
Aloysius Snuffleupagus Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 I seen them in an FA Cup tie about 7 years ago when @mid-table was living in London and following Northwood F.C. They seemed to have no fans other than friends and family of the players. ETA: They're not all Polis or employees of the Met either, apparently; just a regular lower league team, really
Marten Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Never watched them, but friends of mine have been there (as away fans though). Generally, most people who attend are away fans. There are hardly any home fans except for friends/family of the players and the odd local living near the ground. I remember when they reached the 1st round of the FA Cup a few years ago. Loads of football fans were hoping for them to draw Millwall.
Melanius Mullarkey Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Imagine actively supporting the po-po.
Dindeleux Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 They should focus less on football and more on preventing people getting stabbed to death.
7-2 Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Better go and see them soon. If it's an all male team it's days are numbered.
Dindeleux Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 See when it comes to referees/parks etc who do you think pays The Bill?

jamamafegan Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 We paid for your kits, we paid for your kiiiiiiiits - what a waste of council tax, we paid for your kits
Richey Edwards Posted April 26, 2018 Author Posted April 26, 2018 If they ever lead 5-0 do they start singing "5-0 to the 5-0"?

Obviously away supports a factor too as some teams in their division have supports numbering in the high hundreds and beyond.

nsr Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 Do they regularly play as the away side to prison XIs?

Girth Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 I saw them play a few months back. They had like zero away fans there I was disappointed to hear no chants of ‘f**k the police’.
LondonHMFC Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 Watched them against Kingstonian back in September, not one copper in the team now as they aren't allowed time off to train / play.

HibeeJibee Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 I once watched the Scottish Police Cup Final on a weeknight at Cambuslang. It was played between forces and Strathclyde divisions then, no idea if/how it works now it's all a single force. Weird experience. Everything from SFL players down through juniors to blokes of pretty limited ability. Jamie McQuilken and Nathan Lowndes played, and the manager was Ivor MacIvor. Panda cars, motorcyclists and dog handlers with their alsatians kept dropping in and out during the game to see how it was going. There were only a few dozen fans there for the duration.
