HibeeJibee
Next season all 4 Angus clubs may be in the same division. Remarkable. How often has this occurred with the various Scottish rivalries - including defunct clubs, if appropriate - and have any ever exceeded 4? i.e.Angus Arbroath, Brechin, Forfar, MontroseFife Cowdenbeath, Dunfermline, East Fife, Raith (Lochgelly)Glasgow Celtic, Clyde, Partick, Queen's Park, Rangers (Third Lanark)Lanarkshire Airdrie, Albion Rovers, Hamilton, MotherwellStirlingshire East Stirlingshire, Falkirk, Stenhousemuir, Stirling Albion (King's Park)+ Edinburgh Edinburgh City, Hearts, Hibs (Leith, St Bernards)+ Renfrewshire Morton, St Mirren (Abercorn, Arthurlie, Johnstone, Port Glasgow)
JakeSAFC
At one point last season we could have potentially had ourselves, Alloa, Stenny and Falkirk in League 1. But then we bottled the title and Falkirk got semi decent, so the dream will have to wait.
Jason King
I imagine that you are probably looking at the two division setup for when this last happened in most instances. And indeed a quick check of Wiki reveals that in 74-75 that, Stirling, Alloa, Falkirk, Stenhousemuir and The Shire were all in Division 2. Dunfermline and Arbroath spoiled things by being in the top flight Queens Park spoilt things round here by being in Division
HibeeJibee
I can answer for Edinburgh which has only 1 instance:1932-33 - Hibs (1st), St Bernards (10th), Leith (16th) and Edinburgh City (18th) all played in Division Two Not initially considered but Dumfries & Galloway also had 2 instances in the mid-1920s:1923-24 - QotS (3rd), Nithsdale (6th), Mid Annandale (8th) and Solway (11th) all played in Division Three1924-25 - Nithsdale (1st), QotS (2nd), Solway (3rd) and Mid Annandale (15th) all played in Division Three... top 3 spots for the south-west ! Barry Ferguson's Hat
Hopefully next season all Angus teams will be in the same division, but by virtue of being the same club. Merge Angus.
Eednud
In 1938/39 the Second Division had 5 Forfarshire FA members, Brechin City, Dundee, Dundee United, Forfar Athletic & Montrose. Arbroath were in the First Division.
HibeeJibee
There was a shale oil boom in the 1920s - and West Lothian football saw a brief but meteoric rise and fall... for 5 consecutive seasons there was a quartet of Linlithgowshire sides in 1 division:1921-22 - Armadale (3rd), Bathgate (5th), Bo'ness (6th) and Broxburn Utd (7th) all played in Division Two1922-23 - Bathgate (5th), Armdale (6th), Bo'ness (7th) and Broxburn Utd (8th) all played in Division Two... that's impressive consistency !1923-24 - Bathgate (3rd), Armadale (11th), Bo'ness (13th) and Broxburn Utd (15th) all played in Division Two1924-25 - Bo'ness (6th), Broxburn Utd (7th), Armadale (15th) and Bathgate (16th) all played in Division Two1925-26 - Bo'ness (8th), Armadale (15th), Bathgate (19th) and Broxburn Utd (20th) all played in Division Two

King Kebab
Prepared to be corrected here, but I don't think it's happened in Fife since Season 1947-48!!!
Eednud
The 4 Angus teams were in the same division during 1929/30-1934/35, 1955/56-1958/59, 1960/61-1967/68, 1969/70-1971/72, 1980/81-1982/83 and 1992/93. CK
The 6 Glasgow teams all played in the First Division numerous times pre-WWII and in 1946-47, 1947-48 and 1957-58.
kristov
The 1920s and 30s was boom time in Lanarkshire with all four clubs in the top flight on numerous occasions and all of them challenging for honours. Between 1922-23 and 1937-38 there was at least one team from Lanarkshire in the top four. Airdrie were league runners-up 4 times in a row at one point.
