Naples

Boostin' Kev

Recommended Posts

Been wanting to go for a while now. I know the reasons people don't like it but that doesn't bother me and probably appeals tbh.

We've just booked up for first week of October and staying in the Historic district on Via Toledo so have a good starting point, does anyone that knows the city have any recommendations for areas/bars/restaurants etc that don't appear much in tourist guides?

This

Being a pedestrian in Naples can be a bit of a challenge due to Scooter riders and their extremely relaxed attitude to traffic laws (and their personal security).  I was there in 2008 and stayed near the Port and the Castel Nuevo and there were some excellent Pizza places near there.  You gotta have pizza at least once in Naples

woodfired, folded over and taken away in a brown paper bag.its been years but I almost feel I can taste it

Alternatively, in a small pizzeria with a nice glass of red wine.

Man I can't wait to go back there, planning on next year

It may sound a bit corny and touristy, but the double decker bus tour of the city,(same company as Edinburgh), is a good introduction to the city, and if you see places of interest you can always go back and check them out fully later on.

First thing we do on our first full day with every holiday we go on. Great way to get a feel for a city.
