vikingTON Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 A tribute thread to the nasal-drawling, perma-raging mess of the Scottish lower leagues, who has now overseen no less than six consecutive failures in play-off competition in the twelve years since the format was introduced to that level. A manager who took three years of huffing and puffing to get Morton out of the third tier despite having a vastly superior budget to everyone other than Gretna in that spell, failed to achieve anything at all during East Stirling's brief, Spencer Fearn-funded bubble and has somehow taken a Peterhead side containing the most ambitionless yet effective centre forward in the bottom two divisions and managed to get them relegated to the fourth tier twice, fucked up a title race against a Montrose side with a fraction of their budget and then predictably enough made a horse's arse of the play-offs as usual. The worst manager in the recent history of Scottish football.

Otherwise good point, well presented.

Your obsession isn't healthy.
Dindeleux Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 virginton has never had sexual intercourse.Could you imagine the embarrassment of that.

David W Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 His comments regarding the Colts sides were outstanding, and for that he's earned my respect. I'll still never forget how he once couldn't manage a 1-0 up in the 90th minute Morton out of injury time without losing though.

He would have been too busy thinking about how he could stay at school for the next 30 or 40 years rather than being obsessed with anything else.
Neilly Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 A genuinely nice guy but Stevie Wonder would have got that mob promoted. Beyond comprehension if he stays again. Willie Gibson sums up his tenure. Too much money for very little product. ROOND YE.

Oh well.

The saving grace was that he finally, finally resigned after that. Tactically outclassed by John Brown, with the thing that flummoxed him being the introduction of Gary fucking Arbuckle.
Sao Paulo Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Only identical in that they came from nowhere and were typical of Jim's Morton. MacLennan's goal was a shot from the edge of the box; McKeown's was a header from a free-kick Masterton whipped in.And let's have it right: Arbuckle was one of the better players on the park for us that day. We'd Div McGowan, Dusan Bestvina, Kevin Bradley, Shaun Fagan and Iain Campbell playing, mind. *Shudder*. With McInally's record, he really should now be made to kick Bishop Brennan up the arse.
