Scotty Tunbridge Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 Keep up to date with the who did and did not make the plane here. Brazil to kick us off, No Dani Alves (RIP) and I had to google to see who Geromel was

Miranda must be about 50 now surely haha..

Miranda must be about 50 now surely haha.. Alisson will start for sure, he’s been far and away their first choice. Think you could count Ederson’s caps on one hand. EDIT - In fact quick search shows he’s only got one cap to his name, a WC qualifier against Chile when they already had top spot in the group sealed.
JamesM82 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Possible that Brazil might be under-rated going into this (at least over here), given what happened in 2014. Much better goalkeeper and look more solid generally.
JamesM82 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Iceland. Kari Arnason. I know Iceland don't have many players to pick from, but has their manager watched Aberdeen this season?
Radford Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Has there ever been a better pool of strikers heading to a World Cup than the five-or-so that will make the cut for Argentina?
pleslie99 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Has there ever been a better pool of strikers heading to a World Cup than the five-or-so that will make the cut for Argentina? Shame about the defence. Playing a 2-3-5 formation will always cause issues
King Kebab Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Egyptian squad So Salah did make the squad then, that's good, I heard the Egyptian coach was still undecided!!!
JamesM82 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Sweden. Looks a bit shit TBH, think they did well just to qualify. Blue_e'hm_A_Dee Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 German squad.. Goalkeepers: Bernd Leno (Bayer Leverkusen), Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich), Marc-Andre ter Stegen (Barcelona), Kevin Trapp (Paris St-Germain) Defenders: Jerome Boateng (Bayern Munich), Matthias Ginter (Borussia Monchengladbach), Jonas Hector (Cologne), Mats Hummels (Bayern Munich), Joshua Kimmich (Bayern Munich), Marvin Plattenhardt (Hertha Berlin), Antonio Rudiger (Chelsea), Niklas Sule (Bayern Munich), Jonathan Tah (Bayer Leverkusen) Midfielders: Julian Brandt (Bayer Leverkusen), Julian Draxler (Paris St-Germain), Leon Goretska (Schalke), Ilkay Gundogan (Manchester City), Sami Khedira (Juventus), Toni Kroos (Real Madrid), Mesut Ozil (Arsenal), Sebastian Rudy (Bayern Munich), Leroy Sane (Manchester City) Strikers: Mario Gomez (Stuttgart), Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich), Nils Petersen (SC Freiburg), Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund), Timo Werner (RB Leipzig)
Scotty Tunbridge Posted May 15, 2018 Author Posted May 15, 2018 No Zlat no party. English pundits raging as lolverpool player Can is left out of Germany squad. Risk taking Neuer but I imagine that's why they put 4 keepers in their preliminary squad just now to see if he's up to scratch first.

Their first XI should be ridiculous, but I'm not sure how good their depth at centre and right-back is. 39 minutes ago, Blue_e'hm_A_Dee said: German squad.. I'm not convinced by their strikers though.
