Guest
I think I know what's happened with Abbott. There was a Frantz Fanon quote that circulated Black Twitter somewhat recently. It was widely misinterpreted as downplaying antisemitism and the Holocaust in comparison to anti-Black racism. Abbot was likely one of the many who misinterpreted it. Folk could quite easily have sourced the quote and read the entire passage from Fanon, understood the context and therefore the meaning (even I managed to do this), but folk are sloppy and too trusting of Tweets. We know Abbott is plugged into Black Twitter because her interactions on it have made the news before. So my guess is Abbot was trying to channel the wrong idea she got from misinterpreting that quote. Guest
Baddiel led a national campaign of racist mockery against a random Black footballer in the 1990s. Should that disqualify him from now taking a leading role in the witch hunt against Abbott? Of course it fucking should. Worth noting too that no Jew will suffer any repercussions whatsoever from Abbott's stupid letter. However, Abbot's Twitter feed will no doubt be a torrent of anti-Black racist abuse for the next couple of days (not from Jews but from the usual white identity men who harass her any time she's in the news).
StellarHibee
It was a daft letter to write and even although her comparisons were correct from a purely factual point of view, making them was always going to bite her on the arse, especially with Keir Starmer and his band of sharks circling her raft. She only has herself to blame really.
Leith Green
Oooft...........looks like Labour members in Rutherglen are slightly pissed off that Jackie Baillie and Ian Murray are trying to parachute Fiona Stalkers wife in as preferred candidate. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-65436301

A daft comparison. Baddiel isn’t racist. He made a TV skit to rip the pish out of one person in the 90s. He has apologised and Lee has moved on. Abbott is a prominent politician and highly influential. She absolutely needs called out for her hatefulled, gutter politics. Took too long IMO. -

It also took him over a decade to apologise in person to Jason Lee.

Not to mention that Baddiel doubled down on it for a long time and mocked Lee's claims that he'd experienced depression and harassment as a result. Baddiel's interest in racial discrimination appears to begin and end with what may affect him personally.

Chris Partlow
I suppose it's better to ditch all your promises now rather than after you get into power. The offer is now limited to flags, crackdowns and managing the inevitable decline slightly more professionally.
BFTD
I know it would be terrible for the vast majority of us, the country as a whole, and our neighbours in the international community, but just imagine if middle England took a long, lingering look at Labour in 2025 and thought, "nah, still not Tory enough"
