Players don't become pish in a few months, he was good enough six months ago for a team in one of the top five leagues in the world to give him a four year deal. He isn't playing for them now but that doesn't mean he's shite, just means they have a few strikers and he is lower down the pecking order than the rest of them. He may or may not make it there but he's shown enough at u21 to indicate he has a chance. Raw but good attributes. It might be Reims won't work out for him, it might be that level is just a touch too hard for him certainly just now, but sometimes players just need to find their level and settle down and play a bit and you will start to see the best of them. Hendry is showing that now in Belgium, Gauld too. Aberdeen to me on paper sounds great, losing Cosgrove so there is a vacancy and the way they play suits a player like him. The only thing is a 4 month loan where he plays 12 games won't do it, he needs a bit longer than that. He could do quite well, go back to France then be on the bench again. So an 18 month loan might be best but Reims don't really care what's best for him only what's best for them so he'll have to wait and see how things pan out in the summer. In the meantime I like the sound of that move and it would give us all a good look at him too including Steve Clarke so it would be no bad thing. Yeah, I wasn't disagreeing with any of that. Just frustrated that he has potential but isn't getting the game time at his current club to realise it. Aye, he does look very raw and the only way to fix that is loads of games so he probably isn't in the best place long term imo.

the snudge
Seen a few Southampton matches recently. Che Adams looks good. Really wish he could be tempted. His movement and endeavour stand out. Surely an upgrade on McBurnie.

It's good for him to get minutes, but the fact he's come to Scotland rather than staying in France (or a more similar league like Belgium) suggests to me there's a decent chance he doesn't have much of a future there and they're trying to sell him on already. I think if they were genuinely wanting him to gain experience to go back there then they'd have been sending him out to the French second tier or something like that.

Hope it doesn't turn into a fruitless shift for him. Tho that might prepare him well for Scotland duty!
accies1874
It would be nice if we end up in a situation where Hornby, Nisbet and Shankland are all battling it out in the Premiership for one spot in the squad. Maybe Aberdeen will play Hibs on the last day of the season and whoever scores gets in the squad. Hornby scores in the last second and reveals a Euro 2020 shirt right in front of Nisbet which causes a disgraceful fight between the two, meaning Shankland's the one who goes to the Euros. Might be worth keeping an eye on.

A good half season in the SPFL Prem could well bag one of them a squad place.Griffiths, past form excluded, is probably in the same pool, tbh.

And that considered Griffiths very much is struggling currently. And Mcburnie shouldn't be anywhere near the squad. So there's absolutely room for a striker or 2 to make their case. Not a striker, but the way he's performing Christie should be on a shoogly peg too. Turnbull is comfortably looking the better player currently.
Marshmallo
Christie has been a key player for us so should almost be form-proof. It's not a case of picking players in a vacuum based on the last 6 games like you're playing FIFA.

So not really a key player. He would never have started the serbia game had fraser been fit. Glad he did and played well, scored a great goal. But no players "form-proof" thats ridiculous. Despite your fifa experience. -
Barry Ferguson's Hat
We should be simulating every permutation of the squad on FM. Some will sneer at this suggestion, but it's the world's largest football database so it would be idiotic to ignore it. No your right, form is completely irrelevant. And tbh Danny Mcgrain had been doing a fine job of filling in at left back. So McGrains straight in the team and Robertson and Tierney are fighting over one place. Ill decide that place on which of them played better 3 years ago. -
