There's no chance it's 7 or 8 incidents. The police and the PF Scotland pile up the charges on a single incident to put pressure on defendants (usually to force them to plea guilty in return for the majority of the charges being forgotten). The last time I was in a court as a spectator a young man was up on about a dozen charges including 2 or 3 involving a knife, within five minutes the majority of the charges were dropped and the knife magically disappeared.
