DA Baracus
Are there any good ones? Most of the ones I've seen are cheesy and/or camp nonsense. I'm thinking Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat Annihilation, Dead or Alive, Prince of Persia, Tomb Raider 1 and 2 (the orginal Angelina Jolie starring ones; haven't seen the new one), all the Resident Evil films, Wing Commander, Super Mario Bros, Doom and Hitman (2007 one) are the ones I've seen and all are either outright pish or so bad they're funny. There are loads of great stories in computer games that should make great films. However it seems to me that producers think films based on computer games have to be silly/camp/cheesy.
Crroma
The streetfighter and mortal kombat movies are watchable and tie in enough to the games to appeal to me as a fan.Didn't enjoy the first resident evil movie other than the laser hallway scene. The Mario movie is surreal and a mess but oddly charming for just how much they missed the mark.
blueone
Uncharted unofficial fan movie sticks to the characters but in doing so probably falls into the silly / cheesy category. Only 15 minutes long but apparently an official full length movie has started filming.
accies1874
Tintin was the best Uncharted movie.
accies1874
Having a look at them all on Wikipedia and I think the only one I've actually seen is that weird 'Need for Speed' film. Don't remember much about it other than it being long and boring.
BFTD
I quite liked Resident Evil. Had very little to with the games, of which I thoroughly enjoyed the first three, but it was an above-average zombie flick featuring some decent effects, effective soundtrack from Marilyn Manson, and Milla Jovovich's nipples. Not bad. I tried sitting through the second, however, and literally nodded off by the halfway point; didn't feel like it had anything to do with the first film IIRC. There are few video games that need to be made into films, as they've done the job they set out to do in the format they were designed for. It betrays a real feeling of illegitimacy among gamers when people drool over potential film adaptions of things like Bioshock or Portal. Nobody watches films and thinks, "I can hardly wait until someone turns this into a book". (book-to-film adaptions don't count, as they've already slid down the pole to a less-respected media)
YER SISTERS YER MAW
The last tomb raider movie was decent.
54_and_counting
Final fantasy advent children was good, yeah it was all cgi but good, same with the resi animated films, they were quite faithful to resi in terms of xombies, characters etc Doom i thought was an alright film, not the best but watchable
Cardinal Richelieu
The Tekken film was bollocks too.
BFTD
There was a Tekken film? Nobody's mentioned Uwe Boll yet, so here you go: Uwe Boll.

Yeah, I quite liked that, although I've never played the games so it could be sacrilege for all I know. IIRC, Sean Bean's parts felt like they'd been added in as part of a reshoot, but there's nothing wrong with a bit of additional Sean Bean. P.C
Tekken was terrible. Most adaptions have been pretty shit tho do still have love for Doom. That said there was a street fighter film on Netflix for a while Assassins fist which is a Ken and Ryu origin film. Was pretty decent.

Todd_is_God
I appreciate i'm in the massive minority, but i did enjoy Pixels
BFTD
Haven't seen Pixels, but it doesn't sound like it counts, being more a film with references to video games/characters rather than an outright adaption. Same goes for Wreck-It Ralph, although that was pretty good. Plus, the spin-off Fix-It Felix spin-off game was surprisingly good. Would have received a few 10p pieces back in 1982.
StevenWatsonsy
Do TV shows count? I like new Witcher series very much. The plot is perfect. Just like in the book. I'm waiting for someone to make a movie or a TV show about Overwatch, lol. And I saw the Warcraft movie, which is a total fail. BTW, talking about Overwatch: someone here knows how to boost a hero? One of my friends told me about an Overwatch boosting service he used. It looks interesting, but I want to compare prices if there is someone else who do it too.
