I know the lad who went on representing grass roots football. Every time he tried to tell a story or expand on a subject he was interrupted.

Which of them is the worst for interrupting stories? I’ll say Tam. Usually to tell the listeners about some unfunny text he’s received.

Maybe his stories weren't very interesting tbh.

It's not a 1970s chat show (though the music taste would fool you) format - nobody gets all day to tell their Abe Simpson anecdotes in broadcasting any more. You have to make your point interesting enough in a short sound bite to lead into an expanded discussion - otherwise, it will be interrupted.

TL;DR.

Stuart Cosgrove called the top league 'The Premiership'.

He then paused as he thought he got it wrong and said "The Premier League, or whatever you call it!".

Also Chick Young is far better than Tam Cowan.

First time in a while I really enjoyed the show today, Stuart, Chick & Tony Fitzpatrick were very good. Some good stories.

Made a nice change from Cowan's reminiscing about seeing Fran & Anna back in 1982 at the Ayr Gaiety pish.

Cosgrove going on about speevers today. Deary me……..

And just for the record, I have no hatred of Stuart at all; in fact, quite the contrary - I find him a very intelligent person with great knowledges of subjects I find interesting; northern soul for one.

He’s off to Sri Lanka this week so let’s see how the show gets on without him over the next few weeks.

Usually enjoy the show. Probably says more about me than the show. Although was a bit upset that Chico talked about Raith winning the Cup in 96, but you got the impression that he thought “96, or round about then, no really fussed if it is inaccurate” when it was 94.

I read the comments about Chick Young yesterday, and I must admit I raised an eyebrow.  Listened to Saturdays show whilst I was grinding down the miles on the A1 heading South this morning and I must admit it was one of the better shows of recent months.  Tony F was an excellent guest, he's always good value.
