Songs your fans don't sing any more.

Remember any old favourites that seem to have disappeared from the terracing songbook? Not just a change of team or player's name, say, or a single-season wonder.  A complete anthem not heard nowadays. (No bigotry, please.)

At Dumbarton in the early 70s we had: "We're the mental Sonsteam baby, we've got class. Sonsteam ya bass!"

Then there were generic things like:

"You're gonna get your f*****g heads kicked in." (Clap, clappy, clap-clap, clap clap.)

"It's a long way to the buses, it's a long way to go. It's a long way to the buses, so run ya b*****ds run."

And the one I never understood:

"Show them the way to go home, 'cause they're tired and they want to go to bed. For there's only half a football team and the other half is dead."

Please add your own musical memories.

One everybody used to sing:

"Here we go, here we go, here we go"

At Hampden:

"We f**kin hate England, we f**kin hate England, we f**kin hate,  we f**kin hate England"

"We hate Jimmy Hill, he's a poof, he's a poof"

At Killie (to the same tune as above):

"We thought you were shite,  we were right, we were right"

I'm not suggesting it's a bad thing those songs are no longer sung...

Tended to be exclusively sung at people leaving early when we're playing badly in my experience.

That was given an airing at Raith Rovers v Dumbarton yesterday.

Queens used to tack a rendition of 'Hello hello we are the Dumfries boys' on to the end of the Railway Line song. There was quite a bit of debate about it in the early days of Queens messageboards. It got binned around then and I've not heard it sung since.

I'm glad that it got ditched - it all sounded very hunnish, and the idea of Queens fans being up to our knees in anyone's blood sounded a bit ridiculous.

Amazingly you can still hear Ayr fans singing about “black b*****ds”. Land that time forgot.

Used to be a song regularly sung at Cappielow about punching "Pakis" and attacking judges at the high court with bicycle chains I hadn't heard in f**k knows how long but made a reappearance against Partick Thistle with the racial epithet gracefully substituted. Not been to a game in a while before that so don't know how common it's sung nowadays.  Hadn't heard "Just One Cornetto" in years before it reappeared a wee while back either.

Rangers fans don't sing "We are the Champions" any more, if they ever did.

'We hate Roman Catholics, we hate proddies too...

We hate Hindus and Moslems but Thistle we love you..."

'Swinging my chain down the Byres Road,

Along came a boot boy asked me his name.

Kicked him in the balls,

Kicked him in the head,

Now that OF fan is dead...:green'

'We hate Jock Stein and we hate his team.

We hate the **** and Aberdeen.

We fear no foe wherever we may go...

We are Partick Thistle.'

I got these from the drummer with Orange Juice after a few pints in Ashton Lane a good while ago...

Possibly the most Partick Thistle thing I've ever read.

No one sings the "Hello, hello" song anymore apart from **** (the Rangers) and diet **** (Hearts, Dundee and Kilmarnock).
