I've never been a fan of the 3 stage qualifying at the best of times but surely it's not the best way to do quali for the sprint race . The quali will be longer than the sprint and is the next session after .... a 3 stage quali session. Straight 20 minute session with everybody , reverse results from Friday's quali, single lap session. Do something to make it actually different from the main race.

An incredible amount of whinging from Red Bull over a bog-standard racing incident.

Not really, Verstappen was regularly called out for being aggressive so much so that the rules changed, so Red Bull are just labouring the point. Also Russell does stuff like that all the time.

I can see my interest in Formula 1 drifting this season with this new format and the fact I don't have Sky. Sprint race weekends were always a bit useless with two days worth of competition being condensed into one highlight package. A day of qualifying and racing then another day of qualifying and racing followed by a day of racing... what's the point? I just really don't want to put the time in to watch and follow all of it when it feels like the same thing over three days for no real reason.
