Blootoon87
It feels like such a strange season that Man Utd can be so poor yet still be 5th.I don't quite understand it. Every time I see them (not often admittedly) they're dropping points to pish like Burnley. Do Man Utd get four points for a win or something?
Diamonds are Forever
It's incredible they are still 5th in the league. They are really lucky the league is very bunched up this year meaning the points tally for 4th-6th is very low. They are 11 points worse off than they were last season. They are also only 11 points above the relegation spots, which just shows the standard they are playing at. Distant Doonhamer
Even by their own awful standards that was utterly abject by ManU. Easy 3 points for Burnley. Taxi for Solskjaer.

Another one scheduled for the home fixture against Southampton towards the end of Feb. Next lot of fixtures do not look too easy, if GSB don't dish out some cash, they are going to be in serious bother.

A lot of people are having a go at the epl for liverpool being exceptional and running away with it, but when you see how tight the rest of the league is then you see why it's highly attractive, look at Southamptons recovery this season, 3 points off top 6 after losing 11 games by this time is some feat
The Minertaur
Just looked at the table and didn't realise how tight it was outwith the top 4. Southampton just 3 points behind Man Utd. Arsenal/Palace/Everton/Burnley/Newcastle all with the same points. Then just 2 points between 15th and 19th. Usually there are 4 or 5 sections to it - your title challengers, top 4 challengers, Europa League hunt, mid-table nothingness sorts like Everton, and a relegation fight. This year there's no title race, no real battle for top 4, and a Europa League battle that involves so many teams most probably aren't even thinking about. We're starting to see what looks like a relegation group breaking away from 15th downwards, but even then I wouldn't be that surprised if any of them apart from Norwich went on a run like Southampton and Watford are doing and finished top 10. The relegation battle is the only thing that is going to be of any interest going into the last couple of months.
