BigTlass
INCREDIBLE NEWS!!! Club Statement – Haddington Athletic, Musselburgh Athletic and Tranent Juniors We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have received substantial funding from East Lothian Council to allow all three clubs to commence and subsequently complete the installation of floodlights at our stadiums. This is an absolutely monumental step forward for the clubs as we seek to obtain our SFA Licence to continue the incredible momentum we have built up over the past few years. As clubs at the heart of our respective communities, the opportunities this now affords us, not only as a football team but also as a community, is immeasurable. We would like to place on record our sincerest thanks to Senior Councillors and Officials from East Lothian Council for lobbying tirelessly to help us achieve our goals by obtaining our full SFA Licence. Best Wishes David Innes Chairman Tranent Juniors Karl Cleghorn Club President Musselburgh Athletic Drew Donaldson Chairman Haddington AthleticWell done East Lothian Council [emoji1319]
Halfwit8
Crossgates today should be another hard game but if we play like we did against Camelon , especially the first half then we should win. Lie Forrit
Belter1
No easy games in this division and crossgates have strengthened but hopefully we will have enough
Belter1
That was some game. Credit to Calvin for changing it early doors. Crossgates folded like a cheap suit after going 2-0 up.

After an awful first half we started the second half a lot better but still found ourselves 0-2 down after an hour , but the boys dug deep and deservedly ran out 4-2 winners. We dinnae half make it hard for ourselves but onwards to next week and the visit of Lithgae.
Ormi
It’ll be interesting v Linlithgow next week. If Linlithgow are anything like they were against Musselburgh a few weeks ago then it’ll be a fairly comfortable win for Tranent. I expect they will have improved in the last few weeks though.

8MileBU
Expecting a reaction after there thumping from camelon. Play how we did 2nd half and think we will have enough thoughA Lithgy supporting pal said last night he isn’t at all optimistic. He said Lithgy don’t like being pressed and when they are pressed they panic. Also says the slightest bit of physicality and they poop their troosers. Apparently all the talk about their place is the Falkirk game and the money it could make. Yesterday he said the players were all gutless and looked like they don’t want hurt because they’re probably feart they’ll miss the Falkirk game.

There was a time, rightly or wrong that teams were probably feart of playing Linlithgow. Not now! They are just another team in the league. Whilst the likes of Kelty and Bonnyrigg have taken off in the last few years and other sides stock improving all the time, Linlithgow have gone backwards. Tranent should have/show no fear at all next week.
BigTboy
Hard fought victory yesterday and a big 3 points. First half showing was poor, saying that we should have been 1-1 at half time. God knows what the big striker was doing when he went round the goalie. They scored against the run of play to go 2 up and it seemed to really wake the players up. One way traffic from then in, some great play and goals. Calvin can certainly read games and not scared to make subs if needed. Shock score line yesterday for Camelon but not the win, they are a very good team. Next weeks match will be a good game, Linlithgow will certainly be looking to make up for the thrashing yesterday. We need to stop gifting teams easy goals, every time we give the ball away we seem to have over committed players and they break on us and score! poor poor crowd yesterday at our match, considering the good news this week regards the support from the council you would have expected more.

Belter1
Can’t wait until Tranent get into the Scottish. It’s hard to compete financially when teams are getting runs in the cup.
8MileBU
What sort of cash we talking??No idea, you’d be better asking someone connected to the Wee Rose. Whether you’d get truth or bollocks is anyone’s guess.
