TheAftonArmyBear88
As it says on the tin! Ourselves ( glenafton ) reached the junior cup Final in 2014 after 90% of squad being bulldozed in the summer. At the time seemed impossible , and then 3 years later one of the players who remained loyal went on to manage us to an historic treble and qualification for senior cup (when place still has to be earned!) Straight off top of my head Talbot deserving a draw against hearts.. *robbed* of a draw.. And beating Ayr live on the B*C are others any other teams with memorable special acheivments? Wee Albert
Royal Albert 2016/17 season won our first promotion and trophy in over 80 years. Parenial bottom of the league team for a long time. No playing budget, players don’t get paid, played all but two of our league games away from home as the council damaged our park. Young manager in only his second season lost only two league games all season. Won the league on the last game of the season when Gartcairn our nearest challengers drew with Johnstone Burgh for us to win the league by a point. Not ashamed to say a few tears shed players in that Team are now Albert Legends

bluedragon
From further back! On the afternoon of Saturday 14 March 1959 the Irvine Meadow team trooped off Davie Park, Blairgowrie after a stamina-sapping Junior Cup tie on a slippery, wet and heavy pitch. On the following Monday evening with only one change to Saturday’s team they were at St Andrews Birmingham to play a strong and full-time Birmingham City reserve team. Meadow were 2:0 up after 10 minutes and narrowly lost 3:4 due to an 89th minute penalty. Taken all together that was a superb achievement.

Mid table team now Still better than that dross at Cumnock [emoji23] And the season he is talking about is the season Glens got beat by Hurlford in the final. The season Glens put Cumnock out in the quarters with 10 men

Sad days when most premier league junior teams have better facilities than that dump at Somerset

Sad days when most premier league junior teams have better facilities than that dump at Somerset I am a Killie fan who takes great delight in every single failing of our hapless County rivals but I take umbrage at that. Who cares if the place is falling apart, Somerset is a great ground to go to, always a fantastic atmosphere & a far better experience than getting plonked on a seat in a legoland stand.
