craigkillie
There's a reason he plays every week for a team who are doing so well in the league. He's an effective player for them, and if he can play like that at international level we'd be delighted. Joe Jordan is regularly considered one of the best ever Scotland players, and he only scored 11 goals in 52 caps. You may remember before a ball was kicked this season I said he'd get six league goals. 5 goals in 30 games for a striker is shite at any level. Can't understand why people would still want him first choice for Scotland. Must've missed the long line of forwards with better records that we're ignoring...

He is not Van Nistelrooy, its only morons on here that think he should get 20.

Taking one stat out of context is irrelevant.

Hes played like an uninterested one legged numpty. Were not in a position to be able to keep trying someone who cant score, cant create and doesnt look like hes even trying. Starting striker for the side 7th in the Barclays - never going to happen indeed! -

BB_Bino
We’ve all done silly things in our lives but this kind of sums up his attitude for me. He’s not my kind of player and he’s not really my kind of human being to be honest. His fans will point to Leigh Griffiths and say “what about him” and that’s probably a fair comparison, but at least Griffiths produced on the park and was pretty humbling about his mistakes, can the same be said about McBurnie? I don’t think so.

sergie's no1 fan
He's giving Chelsea fits already todayIncredible to think we have been crying out for a Scottish striker that can score goals in the English Prem, yet this guy isn't good enough. He is unorthodox at times, bit awkward looking but he is by far our best option up front. He will lose brownie points with a lot of Tartan Army das because of his staunchness.

He ticks all their hate boxes Born in England Big Rangers man Socks round the ankles Hasn't played for Aberdeen or Dundee United He never stops working, brings others into play and is great in the air. Folk are pounding their pudding cause Burke almost completed a short pass last night, meanwhile McBurnie is the best player on the park against a Champions League outfit. -
accies1874
Bozos like "AgentScotland" and "@Peter_Bolongoli_67" say he wouldn't get a game for St Mirren so I'll take their opinion over yours, thank you very much!

It was a good header but we can’t wait around for it to maybe happen someday with Scotland and there has been no obvious signs it ever will. He has worked up front well with mcgoldrick today , however Scotland has static midfield that doesn’t support a lone guy up front who just gets long balls launched at him,

sergie's no1 fan
None of them have ever done it consistently against anyone of consequence In international terms all 3 can be considered novices. 51 caps between the 3 of them if I have added them up correctly.
