Rovers1992/1993
Interesting indeed. Ryan Christie straight red for outstretched studs up challenge on Livi player. Any different from Tidser brutally awful challenge? Not watching game. Going by match report. The only difference is Tidser’s was higher then Christie’s

CALDERON
It's easy to forget how fucking awful it's been to watch the Rovers over the past few seasons. From the debacle of Locke and Hughes, failing to beat Albion Rovers away from home, bottling the league title on the last day, bottling the playoffs, the clusterfuck that was last season, God awful away form, getting turned over by Montrose and Brechin last season... The list goes on. It's natural that we feel a bit buoyant after finishing the quarter top following an entertaining 2-2 draw with the league favourites. It was an enjoyable game with two sides committed, and had a decent atmosphere. We may not win the league or even get close. However we are making progress, and that's good to see. Most of all we actually have a team who show the type of heart and fight that has been massively missing. We need to keep the kind of atmosphere we saw in the second half going. It's been a long, long time since I or those around me joined in any singing in the South Stand. Long may that continue. Falkirk were good until we changed it, then you were shite and couldn’t cope. Ray the snake must stay! In other words, you scraped a point at home to a shitey team.

BairnBrainBrian
The logic of these Fife roasters is amazing. Falkirk are 'rancid', 'shite', and 'ropey', yet their superstars drew 2-2 with them. Some thought lads please before you go making a cock of yourselves ('yourselfs' is not a word).

I dont think it was a foul in the lead up to the Sammon goal, your player was looking for it tho the ref today gave some of those and didnt throughout, the ref was poor but equally poor. Tidser possibly couldve seen red but it wouldve been one of those hapless refs who likes to wave cards and you are having a laff re Gomis Long long way to go, I can only guess Arbroath had more points at this point last season Arbroath had 21 points after the first quarter last season, then started to drop off in form in the new year

Of course teams are going to call you rancid etc when you fail to beat 'rubbish' teams again and again; your fans have brought this on yourselves. Also, coming back 2-0 down against a team who are favourites for the league isn't your standard, run-of-the-mill draw imo.

In fact, if you read the match thread I would say the majority of Falkirk fans did not expect anything from the match yesterday, a handful of us expected a draw at best. The point I was making is regarding the thought process of some, not all, of the Raith fans. When you call a team shite, and they had been leading your team 2-0 at half time, what does that make your team? Raith played very well in the 2nd half, but ffs, you still didn't beat a shite team a home. I would challenge anyone to find a Falkirk fan who thinks we have a good team. We have some good individuals, but for some reason they are not a good team by any stretch of the imagination.

I simply don’t get all this chip on the shoulder stuff so many of you keep spouting. The majority of Falkirk supporters believe that with significant budget, full time status and McKinnon building his own team of generally Championship standard players, we ought to win the league convincingly. Something shared by the bookies pre season and probably most rational thinking fans of any other club. There is a big difference between stating what we ‘should’ do and what we ‘will’ do. Few think we ‘will’ under McKinnon.Personally I think if things don’t change, we won’t be winning the league and your experience of being in this league might shine through.......
grumswall
In fairness its the same attitude we've had to deal with since being in this league. Don't stay too long like us and you won't have the pleasure of doing it to other teams fans when they come down.We were rancid in the first hand but still had two very good chances, one was a poor connection from benedictus that went over the bar and the other produced a very good save from Bell. We've played you twice this season and both times its evident that your not a team and that mckinnon is the reason for this. Mcglynn was proactive in changing shape etc when it didn't work, which mckinnon did next to nothing to counter and we were the only team that looked like winning it from ht on.To be sat top after the first quarter having lost probably the best player in the league (again) and being able to fight our way back into games and grind out a decent result from 2-0 down is something for us to be happy with considering the absolute pish we've endured since we hired locke. Whether we win the league or not we have what your squad doesn't seem to have, leadership and a bit of heart.

roverthemoon
Really can’t be arsed with this stupid notion that’s it ‘embarrassing’ to celebrate anything. It’s lower league Scottish football ffs. It’s for the most part pretty grim and a relentless diet of frustration and disappointment. If you go in at half time in a game against your biggest rivals for the title 2-0 down and playing shite, then if at full-time it’s 2-2 then that’s worth raising a smile. Find your joy where you can or what’s the point.
