The Green Mile is the one that while a great movie, gives me the shivers. The bit where that evil cnut deliberately doesn’t wet the sponge before the electrocution..... I’ve just got goosebumps thinking about it. Gives me the fear.

I need to be sensible with my heart and breathing problems. If I get the virus there's a fair chance I'm fecked. My dad let me stay up to watch it and I was too scared to go to bed afterwards. As far as post apocalyptic films go Steel Dawn starting Patrick Swayze is a guilty pleasure, as are The Ultimate Warrior, starring Yul Brynner and Damnation Alley, starring George Peppard.

My team are describing scenes that are ridiculous but are obviously true. f**k every single mentalist that exists out there, we are easily capable of keeping Supply Chains running. They could have really explored that but then they turned it into a big standard action movie halfway through. I did see a suggestion online it would be a better film from her perspective. It starts with her waking up and she falls in love with him, then gradually finds out what happens as his story starts falling apart. Could have been much more tense and atmospheric than him going into space and getting blasted with the exhaust to save them.

Thistle_do_nicely
The Thing. Everyone in sheer panic at the thought of getting infected by a terrifying new, unknown, er, thing. Prime Kurt Russell. Spectacular practical effects before everything became CGI'd to the extent that instead of shooting a new movie scene at, say, a field, most movies will just greenscreen and use computers in post production to create the effect of shooting a field. Some of the LOTR stuff is ridiculous in particular for this. The effects still hold up really well tbh. and of course, paraphrasing but "Now gentlemen... I know we've been through a lot recently... but if you wouldn't mind, I would much prefer not to spend the next few weeks TIED TO THIS FUCKING CHAIR" Edited March 17, 2020 by Thistle_do_nicely

They were still there when I left and the McDonald's I drove past was still full of people. The government need to close McDonalds and pubs etc if they want to see any success from their latest policy. Mark Fisher called it the most accurate depiction of post-crash/ austerity Britain and he's correct. Remarkable that it was released in like 2006 as it's the movie about capitalist realism. 1 hour ago, Day of the Lords said: Threads. Too fucking bleak, mate.
