Popular Post Brother Blades Posted April 26, 2020 Popular Post Share Posted April 26, 2020 Had great dealings with NHS today.My girlfriend (who is a care worker in a home with confirmed Covid cases amongst staff & residents, unfortunately some resulting in fatality) has an ear infection that has gotten progressively worse since Friday night.This morning she decided to call 111 & went through the process to be put in touch with the practise she is registered with. A very pleasant mannered lady assured her that she wasn’t wasting their time & that she would get a GP to call back within 4 hours, within 20 minutes a GP was on the phone to discuss the symptoms & agreed it was almost certainly an inner ear infection (my girlfriend has a history of this & the GP had her notes onscreen during the call), GP prescribed antibiotics, but was concerned about how they could be delivered, it was explained that we have a car & we could drive to collect. We were told to drive to Kings Cross hospital in Dundee-we are in Montrose- and the tablets would be waiting for us, this is exactly what we did & within 30 seconds of arriving, antibiotics were in hand.This means she will be able to attend her nightshift tomorrow & I will be able to watch any shite I prefer on TV rather than her drivel. Everyone’s a winner! There's lots of posters on here that I'd say I share many of my own views both politically and socially but I've no idea what age they are, there's also lots of posters who have polar opposite views but if they articulate their viewpoints and arguments then whether I agree with them or not, I always respect them. I've said it before but for a supposed football forum full of dafties, I think for the most part we do a pretty good job here, with generally intelligent and well researched discussion with a fair sprinkling of humour, satire, sarcasm and innuendo, what more could you ask for ? What I'm trying to get at in a long roundabout way is that the posters on here are much more than reality tv show, stronbow drinking young upstarts or Yer da, Gin swilling old gits that think they've done it all and know it all.
