Guest
Restrictions aren't going to fly again. People have got their lives back to normal. I'd expect a high level of refusal around masks and isolating. Is how it should be but in reality a large proportion of the country will bow down to anything the government says, especially when it comes to the Scottish government.

Michael W
Hospitality has been set up as the next easy victim when the magic masks don't curtail cases and we keep finding variant cases. Everyone must wear masks when going for a piss and the vaccine passport will be introduced too, no doubt. Or maybe they'll just skip that step and shut it again with very specific furlough brought in, who knows. In the meantime, the booster age will be lowered further, whilst they're warning people about immunity being evaded (slow clap for this messaging here, lads).

I’m abroad at the moment, due back tomorrow night, passenger locator form already completed and day 2 lateral flow already organised. Pretty sure you'll be OK, Johnson said the details will be announce tomorrow and they have to give notice. If your PLF has been accepted that's job done I think.

Why should we be shitting ourselves from a virus that in the grand scheme of things has caused no significant damage. It’s rare and we have effective vaccines and treatments.

Ebola's big failure is to kill off its hosts so quickly that it gets only a short period to transmit. Stay away from West African mortuaries would be my recommendation.

How can they (or anyone) book or plan anything if, at the drop of a hat, countries can just be added to a list that didn't exist anymore? Confidence will again be dented in the entire industry, only this time there will be no government support to support them. I'm fairly certain that it will revert back to normal again fairly quickly (and by that I mean the LFT flavour), but the damage will already have been done. I saw another 4 countries were redded as well at the drop of a hat. I get the countries concerned are "no-one visits them" territory, but it's a serious measure that passes without any fanfare. And yes, they are potentially utterly fucked here again. No furlough and if the restrictions on them increase, they will start to struggle.

He also said it was very unlikely to cause major problems.

You'll be fine, nothing in motion yet. Scottish Health Secretary: Quote Following discussions today with Health Secretary Sajid Javid and the other devolved administrations - and in light of the well known practical reasons for preferring a UK wide approach to travel restrictions - we are aligning with the new border restrictions being introduced by the UK Government which will require fully vaccinated arrivals to take a PCR test within two days of arrival and to self-isolate until a negative result is received. These measures will be introduced as soon as possible and kept under constant review.
