In fairness, this time it was a correspondent, and not somebody who had taken time out of their day to be interviewed. I guess something has to be interrupted. Should probably just do sport at that time.

They do it every day though. It's not as if the briefing is sprung on them, they've had weeks of exactly the same timetable, and still make an arse of it every single day

The camouflage isn't doing him much good against a brown wall in central London. Maybe he'll go home through Hyde Park.

Very American I think. What happened to the usual formal military dress?

Not sure why he isn't wearing his regular gear

He should take the camouflage off and just wear the t-shirt. That blends in quite well.

A huge disparity in figures between the ONS and the Government.

The only surprise is how large the disparity is, they've been manipulating the figures like f**k for weeks, we've now got loads of folk itching to do as they please as it's not been as bad here compared to Italy and Spain, we're handcuffed to this shower of shite led by the great white hiding shite bag.

Son-in-law works for one of the councils and is working on reopening the recycling facilities, garden waste only, as I understand it, may be household waste also, but no recyclables.

We've been told our council (East Dunbartonshire) are going to collect some recycling over the next couple of weeks.

The first little video clip in that Twitter feed is interesting.  This is the sort of things the opposition parties in Parliament should be picking up.

We're still getting our bins emptied (including recyclables obviously) but the recycling facilities are all closed. One council has already opened their dumps, I heard a councillor on explaining how it works, basically like a supermarket, one in, one out, (no trailers).

Took mother to Falkirk & DRI for an appointment today.  Noticed they had a drive through testing centre for the virus. Was there for an hour and 1 car used it .  Made inquiry and was told that they can test up to 300 people per day but only NHS staff who have a referral and appointment. Was told they are only testing about 20-30 people a day or so I was informed.  No doubt there will be an official denial to this.

Thought testing was the answer to this thing - an absolute joke.  Staff and testing not been utilised properly but you listen  to the pish the FM and Freeman are spouting about it on a daily basis.  Something not quite right.

There was a GP from London area going on about this about two weeks back in regard to the Chessington test centre.

The official Government line was that the testing stations were all up and running and everything was running smoothly, however the GP mentioned that they and many of their colleagues had been turned away due to not having an appointment and a receipt to show, when they asked how they went about getting this nobody could tell them !!

As usual in Britain it's an absolute shambles with no communication between Government departments and nobody actually taking any responsibility or ownership of anything.

Theres no point testing people who dont fall into the criteria for testing, too early and the test will give a false negative and too late the same. Some people with mild cases wont go for testing. They have to get the criteria right or theres really no point.

The questions at the government briefings must be getting awkward as the gammons on social media are raging

Today they questioned the effectiveness of the NHS, the Armed Services AND a Tory government, the Holy Trinity of Gammon.

You think so? I appreciate that some structure to testing is a good idea, and I'm not advocating it should be a free for all, but if the UK has 'X' amount of capacity, it should be using it every day.

There's a centre literally around the corner from me (Grangemouth) and it's painful seeing how quiet it is. There's two security guards outside who must be bored stiff.

My son gets school meals at lunch time so we walk pass the centre about twelvish and the security guards seem to swell to four in number. They're all standing within two feet of each other, never mind two metres.

Do they have a reason for the testing approach, or are they still stonewalling the question?

Are they trying to bank loads of capacity, so that when they do decide to go for it, they won't run out?

Is that even a thing?

It's just so clear that they're getting hammered on this issue and it's been like that for weeks. I'm sure it's not easy to fix but are their systems not working or is this still strategic?

As usual in life, probably a bit of both.

In terms of press conferences, sturgeon has been so much more open than the London lot. In my opinion she's got a good manner, and explains things well.

There will be things she can't say, and we have to accept that, but she's definitely the leader i want at a time like this.
