Stage play about Jim McLean

Bold Rover

Recommended Posts

There's been a bit of publicity about this. On in Dundee, won't be going myself. Seems to aim to help us understand and like the man. Apparently McLean is in poor health these days. I wonder if John Barnes will be going? His employer is plugging the show.

He was pretty much a next door neighbour when I grew up. A hot tempered man but once he got older and infirm he mainly just played bowls at the club directly across the road from him. He hated me playing football /hoofing balls in his garden when I was a kid.

I forgot all his shite when he pretty much single handedly saved several residents from a serious fire in the care home right next to the bowling club a few years before he got Ill with dementia himself.

A brave/bold man who commanded respect.

Yeah. That disappointed me too. He should have punched the c**t's pus.

Jim had the last laugh tho, their captain shot himself dead 10 years to the day after losing the Final.

If they hadn't cheated, he might still be alive today.

Disagree with that, I wouldn't give a violent bully any respect at all.

Has liked Morrisey for 30 years...

What's that got to do with it?
