Coronavirus and the Scottish Championship

More likely just a spoiled ballot but it would have the same result as abstaining I think.

It would but anyone would accept a clear indication of choice as a vote regardless of what is used. As someone pointed out yesterday, returning officers counted it as a vote when someone drew a picture of a cock in a voting box next to some Tory MP down South at the last election!

I assume the technical issue is not the mark made but that the SPFL for whatever reason didn't actually receive it though Dundee say they sent it, and now the issue is Dundee are hedging their bets and not re-sending it. They are taking the opportunity of now knowing they are kingmakers to reconsider it.

Forfar have already received just over £60,000, as have every other League One club. That would suggest that, if they are in a position to pay out money for 9th (it won't be all of it because they can't complete until after the SPFL is audited but it will likely equate to last year) then Forfar would be due circa £12,000 (+ VAT).

League Two clubs have had £37k, Championship ones £145k and Premiership ones £950k, except Rangers, Celtic and Motherwell who have received almost £1.2m.

Surely that's enough to see them until the furlough gets paid?

The £60k? They didn't just get it as a lump sum. It's been paid to date throughout the season. League One teams got £2,700 a couple of weeks ago. That won't see them far. And it's money they would have had by this week anyway, it's not extra.

Well then I suggest you apply that learning to the current context rather than asking stupid questions.

That's not good enough is it?

If the problem concerns an incomplete season, you've not adequately explained why it's morally right to reward teams at the top when the axe falls, yet thoroughly unjust to see those at the bottom face the traditional football penalties for finishing there.

His pictures are usually quite good but f**k me thats horrendous

They really aren't. Have a look at his past 24hrs activity.

Even being stuck indoors isn't an excuse for that behaviour. Weird c**t.

It’s unjust because it will inflict harm. In clubs and, by extension, individuals.  “Traditional football penalties” should not apply in a situation that is very far from being traditional.

If you genuinely don’t understand the distinction then you’re a moron.

Thanks for letting me know that.

You're being terribly insulting dear chap.

I agree that the current circumstances are not traditional.  However, you're still failing to say why traditional rewards are appropriate, yet penalties are not.

There's a contradiction there that you will not address.

So either Cameron or Gardiner is lying.

Not necessarily. It's perfectly feasible there's a group chat and Lachlan Cameron just isn't Ayr's rep on it and wasn't aware of it. It's surely more likely to be Tracy McTrusty or some other Scottish based rep?
