Falkirk were not put at an (arguably unfair) sporting disadvantage. Being denied the chance to play at a higher level, while a rival unfairly is allowed to play at a higher level, absolutely is a major disadvantage to the team denied it. Just look at the differing trajectories of Falkirk and Motherwell since Falkirk were unfairly denied promotion and Motherwell were unfairly allowed to play in a higher division.

Falkirk hasn't (yet) earned what you're saying it's been "denied". Therefore no unfair disadvantage. 1 minute ago, RandomGuy. said: Just look at the differing trajectories of Falkirk and Motherwell since Falkirk were unfairly denied promotion and Motherwell were unfairly allowed to play in a higher division. That was a fair sporting advantage for Motherwell. Falkirk was not compliant with rules known to all clubs before a ball was kicked.

That doesn't explain why you dream up so many scenarios where the world implodes and Dundee FC are at the centre of it. I suppose it does show what's at the centre of yours though.

rb123!
Gerry Britton has gone full rangers in begging the league not to be stopped yet but instead pump out loans to all the clubs which they'll have to pay back at some point Plus how much are these loans?
Derry Alli
What 'Gerry Britton' has done is prove that there is money readily available to clubs. Money that was apparently unreleasable and clubs would go to the wall rather than the governing body help out. I'm always surprised that Dundee fans think that United fans are upset or bitter/obsessed about anything to do with DFC.

Monkey Tennis
24 minutes ago, Ad Lib said: No we don't. The objection is to decisions being taken off the pitch that impose a significant sporting disadvantage on a club which was not known and agreed to at the beginning of the season. A team being relegated on the basis of an incomplete season imposes a significant and unfair sporting disadvantage. A team being relegated on the basis of a complete season imposes a significant and fair sporting disadvantage. A team being promoted on the basis of an incomplete season grants them a significant and unfair sporting advantage, not not (in itself) one that disadvantages other teams. A team being promoted on the basis of a complete season grants them a significant and fair sporting advantage. The difference is that one example of unfairness directly, tangibly and substantially harms a football club, whereas the other doesn't. As a member-based organisation the SPFL should be taking decisions in order to minimise unfair sporting disadvantage even if that means occasionally granting unfair sporting advantage. Ok, your last sentence puts it in a nutshell, but I don't agree with you and think it requires a certain contortion to see such an outlook as 'right'. You're struggling a bit with the "in itself" distinction you're attempting to draw when it comes to promotion, which is perhaps why your syntax falters there.
