Andy groundhopper
Being an outsider from down south, can someone please explain where the hatred of Auchinleck first began ? Is it born out of jealousy, envy etc ? Just interested that's all. Small club, biggish club syndrome or something more devious ? Maybe something historical ? 9 hours ago, craigkillie said: That's not how it works.

Everyone acknowledges how good and how well run they are and they're a club everyone aspires to emulate. But their dominance and financial success from senior cup participation has made the top level of the juniors as uncompetitive as it probably ever has been.Every season starts with the question "who can stop Talbot?" rather than who will win the league or junior cup. Anyone hoping to win the league or cup has to hope for Talbot to have an off day, or a huge fixture pile-up at the end of the season. It's unhealthy and is probably one of the major reasons as to why so many clubs were actively seeking a way into the pyramid in the West. And personally I find a fair number of their fans arrogant, obnoxious and entitled.

Andy groundhopper
Thanks, would they find their level in the Lowland League one day ? Suppose natural progression sees champions promoted to a stronger League, let's hope that the way in the future. Can become boring seeing the same club win things without taking the step up to a better level.

allyg1977
See u start ur starement right then it goes pear shaped yes talbot have done well in the scottish Cup dont we deserve the respect of beating spfl teams on the way and to be on TV has had been a few times in the past 2 years also there was a spell when talbot did nothing in the early 2000s but u had ir teams like meadow Kilwinning Glenafton pollock etc spending money on players who weren't worth it even nowadays its happening but what talbot have always did was bring players through and restart again not throw money to mangers to buy ex senior players who to be fair took the money and couldn't handle the grade Nobody hates Auchinleck. The last three clubs to win the East Juniors title before 2018/19 - Kelty, Bonnyrigg and Bo'ness - are now in the Lowland League (or about to be in the case of Bo'ness). No doubt the same will eventually happen in the west as the top clubs gain their licence.

The LL will go from a glorified EoSL to a glorified WoSL.

It opened people's eyes to the finances that were not available as a Junior club.
Andy groundhopper
I've read loads from junior clubs over the step into the Seniors, mixed viewpoints for and against. How do the majority of fans feel, are they looking ahead to progress OR do they want to stay as they were ? I'd like to think all positive, finances being the only doubt ahead without overspending.
