andy25
What have they achieved exactly[emoji848]If we arent in their conference be good to get a friendly against them and do that for them. They deserve the recognition for what they’ve achieved!

Blackie Gold
Quite right we all need a bit of love in these trying times. You could carve Buffs and Bankies true love on one of the big trees on the Buffs terrace, just like Charles and Camilla. That would be something.
holmparkheroes
Using the criteria (as we must) that has seen Brora and Kelty crowned, may I offer congratulations to Auchinleck Talbot, last ever WRSJFA champions. Not the way you would have chosen to do it but there was little doubt that you would.

If the WSJFA go along these lines then I think if the Scottish Cup place wasn't involved then null and void would have been the best option. Most Talbot fans would have excepted a null and void verdict as the title will always be remembered more for the circumstances rather than the football.

Lalalalalala
STATEMENT The East Region Management Committee met tonight and have declared Season 2019-20 null and void. This means there are no Champions in any of our four leagues. Given the very difficult and challenging times we are in it was important to get final clarity on this season so that we can all move on. This was not an easy decision but we felt it was the fairest one and comes within in our rule 79 which refers to the fulfilment of league fixtures. Clearly that has not been possible and we already advised that the season was finished. We fully appreciate this will be disappointing to some who may have preferred a different solution but whatever decision was taken was always going to cause differences of opinion. The Management Committee hope you will now work with us to set up our leagues for next season and look forward to making these as attractive and competitive as possible. We are currently working on proposals. Finally a heartfelt thanks to all our Clubs for their patience and understanding Management Committee
Marten
No surprise there, no other options really. As the leagues will be restructured again it doesn't really matter for next season anyway.

Does it not matter if the winners receive a trophy and a title, not to mention the Scottish Cup place which comes to the playoff winner? Isn't that the whole point of playing in the league, to try and win the title?
TheLad
No other options? What about doing what every other league in Scottish football has done? Remember, they aren't like the rest of Scottish football in East Region juniors. They are special. A unique gradeOr in a bubble, completely separated from what reality looks like. This is why they aren't moving into the pyramid. They want to be different.

Due to the north/south split (which I was never a fan of), there won't be an overall champion anyway as there was meant to be a championship play-off. As north hasn't played south, you can't really pick an overall champion on PPG.

The SFA were supposed to be voting on changing the access to the Scottish Cup at their AGM. If it stays as it is will they not expect the ERSJFA to put forward a club for next year's Cup?
