footballresearch Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 (edited) Hi everyone, I am an MBA student at St Mary’s University in London conducting research into Scottish football for my dissertation. In particular, I am investigating the reasons why fans choose to watch the Scottish Premiership on television, fan perception of the “Scottish Premiership” brand, and whether fans would be interested in an “SPFL TV” subscription service, independent of the current broadcasters. Therefore, I am asking fans of Scottish football aged between 18-64 to complete a short questionnaire exploring these issues. The responses will then be analysed and will form part of my final published dissertation. If you are interested in taking part, you can click on the following link which will take you to the questionnaire: https://essex.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eJxhKzAFfdr3PIV This questionnaire does not require you to identify yourself, or to give any contact details, and all results published will be entirely anonymised. All information you provide will be treated in the strictest confidence. This questionnaire should take roughly 5 minutes to complete. There are no costs associated with completing this questionnaire other than your time. Thank you for reading this post, and for taking the questionnaire if you choose to do so. Ric Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 Indeed, Tam. If someone is that bothered about knowing our opinion, they should spend time posting in here rather than just create an account and expect us to jump to it. 1 Quote
naegoodinthedark Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 Is this really worth the tuition fees? 0 Quote
Doctor Manhattan Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 Out of interest, what's the rationale for excluding those aged 65 and over? (Not that I'm saying it's necessarily a bad idea, based on some of the wallopers in that age group who actually go to matches.) 0 Quote

They post their link and are never seen again. Think there's been about 2 or 3 that have ever bothered to hang around for a few days. 0 Quote

DA Baracus Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 A surprising level of literary from the OP. Usually these things look like a primary school child, or a smarter than average Sevco fan, has written it. 0 Quote

Hi, the age brackets are dictated by the University's ethical guidelines, not a personal choice. 0 Quote
Sergeant Wilson Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 I answered all the questions but didn't actually read any of them. Hope this helps. 4 Quote

Well, well, well. Suppose I'll have to do the poxy survey now, Jamie, seems only fair. Top tip for any old codgers: Just check the "Prefer not to say" box when asked for your age. 1 Quote

It probably does, to be fair. More people answering is more evidence. What the answers are doesn't really matter, as he'll have an angle for each response anyway. 0 Quote
