craig.graham.anderson Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 I had time to research. Realised Scotland can feasibly call up a 25 man squad worth over £200M, all 30 years of age or less. Stretching to an unusual formation, the first 11 is worth almost £164m. This is all selected purely based on highest market value and balancing the need for defenders and goalkeepers etc. Let me know if there is anyone I missed who is 30 or younger and worth over £1m. 0 Quote
craigkillie Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 Where are the values coming from? Some of them are ludicrously high (£10.8m for Cairney, £1.5m for Lindsay, £3m for McLean, £2.5m for Fulton) and others are ludicrously low (£3.6m for McGregor, £4.3m for Christie, £6m for Fleck). 1 Quote
craig.graham.anderson Posted May 6, 2020 Author Posted May 6, 2020 Figures are from Transfermarkt. Obviously not an exact science. 0 Quote
Richey Edwards Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 Transfer values in general are ridiculously inflated due to the COMMERCIALISATION and CAPITALISM that has corrupted football. Football has been REMOVED from the reaches of the very people who it was created for and sold to suits who care nothing for the game. I, along with millions of others, shall not be attending any football matches until football is returned to the masses. 0 Quote

Turnbull as well for £1.6m. He'd already been subject to a £3.25m bid. Transfermarkt also says Adrian Spórle is worth £900,000. So that tells you all you need to know. 0 Quote

Those prices are actually pretty cheap for Lindsay and especially McLean. He is a first choice midfielder in the Premier rright now,I would imagine he'd go former than double that hypothetically. He's a 6-9 million player. 0 Quote

craig.graham.anderson Posted May 6, 2020 Author Posted May 6, 2020 I missed Lewis Ferguson at Aberdeen as a Squad player. Valued at 1.35m 0 Quote

Many players have previously been higher than those figures. I could have brought Danny Wilson in out of the cold if I had gone for highest ever. But no, current value is what matters. But most importantly, I made this as something to celebrate more than scrutinise. Details aside, we have the best pool of players in a long time. 0 Quote

Also Adrian Sporle is valued at 360k on Transfermarkt so I don't know where 900k is coming from??,, 0 Quote
Crawford Bridge Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 You Tartan Army oddballs don't half post a load of shite. In what currency is Matt Phillips worth 4,900,000? 1 Quote

RandomGuy. Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 Transfermarkt FFS. Theyve got Wallace Duffy, one of the worst CBs in our history and absolutely miles from top flight standard, as being worth £250k. 0 Quote
AsimButtHitsASix Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 Everytime anyone says "LOL. Those players are never worth that" you need to remember Sheffield United paid £20,000,000 for Oli McBurnie. The English league is fucking mental for transfer fees. 0 Quote

Would be interesting to see the values and team of the most valuable scots on the recent football manager. I'm to tight to pay 30 odd quid for it. Would be a more accurate gauge of the values tho -1 Quote

It's still a load of shite posted by a Tartan Army oddball regardless of where the phantom values come from. 0 Quote
