BucksburnDandy
It's not just the SPFL that should be under the microscope tomorrow. The clubs need to take a hard look at themselves as well . Just about every club has a grudge against at least one other . When asked to work together for the greater good of the game they bicker , squabble and can't agree on anything . Scottish football's reputation is down the shitter and no one is prepared to take responsibility to solve any of the problems. There is no way football can start again with so much bitterness and resentment. I just hope tomorrow's meeting is not just another slanging match and they can come together with genuine effort to resolve the bad blood . Unfortunately though the damage has been done and there are too many deep scars which won't heal . Too many people willing to discredit others for their own personal gain , willing to use rumour and unproven allegation to further their cause. If anything this last month has proven how rotten Scottish football really is. Correct totally. It's the latest in a fairly lengthy line of examples of how the clubs are so hopeless at coming together for some sort of greater improvement of our game. It's no wonder that our league has been in the doldrums in Europe for so long until the last year or two (through two good OF campaigns) and why our clubs seem to have no interest in getting our national team back to a level where we qualify for things and bring in more money to the game that way. -

Well if you were to write a really apologetic grovelling letter; begging for forgiveness (because everything was ALL your fault) to all the managers of all the clubs in all of the leagues; as well as Mr Doncaster, not forgetting uncle Tom Cobley and all and then arrange a pillory session in each town where a club which you have offended resides, WE may just forgive you? But let me be the first to congratulate you on your selfless desire to atone for every other bugger that's cocked up .............Good man, REMEMBER it's all for the greater good of Scottish Fitba.

Ludo*1
I reckon the SPFL would be able to save a few clubs tomorrow if they charged a flat rate fee to live stream the zoom meeting tonight.

So much for Gardiner's claim for the club to be more transparent and reconnect with the support. If this is some game plan to breakaway from the SPFL and go back to some self preservation league again, then I'm out. Cant imagine too many Caley fans are backing him at this point, or what's the feeling amongst the fans?

There is no way football can start again with so much bitterness and resentment. Scottish football's reputation isn't 'down the shitter' because literally nobody outside of the domestic media circus gives a toss about who said what to whom. The rest of Europe are busy getting embroiled in very similar debates over 'sporting integrity' and self interest: Scotland has simply wrapped up most of the campaign instead of kicking the can down the road. Scottish football continued and indeed flourished in 2012 after the death of Rangers and the psycho 'sink us and we'll sink you' agenda adopted by its tragic tribute act. The idea that it can't possibly cope with a bit of mud-slinging in the media now is utter nonsense.
