It's the best.

I didn't see it when it first came out as I'd relocated to The Netherlands, I'd saw a couple of episodes but it was usually on late on bbc2.

I started working in an office in 2003 ( my first and last office job) the guy sitting next to me was half Dutch half English and he handed me a VHS tape of season 1 and I was hooked, we spent the next few years quoting The Office.

All the big ones, all the big names. I think Training is generally considered to be the best.

Training doesn’t have my favourite Office moment of all time, by the way. No. My favourite moment of all time is Brent’s speech to the Swindon mob, in Merger. Alright?

It has to be Training. The edit where you can see Rowan staring blankly towards the sky and hear Brent's guitar playing gently in the background is 10/10.

‘Training’ is my favourite episode as well. It’s near 23 years old and there still hasn’t been a TV show that’s came close to The Office for me. Gervais’ portrayal of Brent in that episode is as close to comedic perfection as you will find, absolutely top tier.

The scene where Tim and Gareth are working together for the ‘Fox, Chicken, Grain’ exercise is also absolutely top tier. 
 

‘Hello, I’m a chicken. Thank you Tim for leaving me with my favourite food!’

I was watching the fire drill scene by chance earlier today. 

Brent speaking to the camera probably overshadows Gareth holding the door in the background and shouting in the faces of the staff sauntering onto the stairwell: "Third degree burns, second degree burns... you're a flame!"
