BFTD
Generally modern song structure is designed to build to the satisfying, usually repeated, chorus - the part everyone remembers, and generally considered to be 'the good bit' (as named by a Spitting Image song about Nirvana that I can't seem to find anywhere). What songs do you like where the opposite is true, and you prefer what's going on before/after the chorus? I was listening to some non-Ozzy Black Sabbath stuff yesterday, which I'm less familiar with, and noticed that Zero The Hero has a lovely gritty groove thing going on, with pleasing vocal phrasing, building to a chorus that's just quite muted and generic by comparison.

hearthammer
Randy Edelman - Uptown, Uptempo Woman The story/tune is brilliant, but is spoiled (for me) by the chorus add-on

Sixtyten
I really like this song, and it doesn't even get past the "intro".

paranoid android
This tune - the chorus is good, but the verses, and coda are brilliant.
BillyAnchor
True by Spandau Ballsache, crappy poppy chorus but the line about pills on tongue and listening to Marvin all night long really resonated.
