Difference in league games at same level

This season's Lowland League contains 17 clubs playing 32 games (over 34 dates); this season's Highland contains 16 clubs playing 15 games (Forres mothballed).

Granted when HL starts it will already be matchday #11 in LL.

Both sit at same level of pyramid but 32 v 15 games (214%).

Historically is there a comparable case in Britain or abroad?

Would there have been a crossover when the east juniors were playing 30 league games and the west juniors 22?  Granted not as large but still significant

There would have been as the East moved to 16 team Super in 2013-14 and the West not getting there until 2018-19.

If the Juniors kind of count even though they weren't in a linked system then Highland (34) v. Lowland (22) in 2013-14 does. In terms of being in an actual pyramid it would be Highland (34) v. Lowland (26). EoSFL v. SoSFL to a 6 game gap between the two.

East Juniors original plan for this season would have been North Super (32) v. South Super (24).
