Spotify - Help Required

Ok folks, I have always loved my music and am not the youngest of us on here, so technology sometimes challenges me

Can someone please point me in the right direction with ?

So have had Spotify Premium on my mobile phone contract for a couple of years but contract finished, bought new mobile and now on SIM only deal.

Spotify today reverted back to free version meaning a loss of loads of benefits I've enjoyed.

I realise that I need to start paying £9.99 per month BUT how do I do this and keep my existing spotify user ID and library ?

Will i be asked at some point in sign up if I have an existing Spotify user ID etc ?

https://open.spotify.com/

Find the web player for desktop computer here.  Sign in here with the same details and you should find the same stuff, but adverts will interrupt your listening. Assuming it's all there, download the spotify app on the new few, sign in again and there it'll be.

There are a few variations on the membership, like family membership £13 a month or so.

On behalf of all songwriters and composers, please consider some other method of consuming that pays us better😅

Many thanks for that

I'd just like to say that I still buy music in non digital format as well

My old vinyl collection is being swelled to the tune of four or five new LPs per month 😉

I have only this week added the Spotify app to my iphone.  I have not signed up to any premium version (or dont think I have) and it seems i am able to play music without listening to adverts - is this normally how it works - do you get a period of time without adverts and then they kick in and become annoying.?

Or do you get a period of time for free then they start charging?

Never used it before and I am not the most tech savy but would appreciate advice.

Did you sign up via one of those free three month trial offers?

If you go onto your profile on your app, click on "plan" and it should tell you what your payment plan is.

Another way might be to go into settings and see if it lets you bump up the audio quality to "high" or "very high", or see if it let's you download any albums to your phone. Those are premium membership features.
