Snakes in Greenock

The Ray McKinnon punchlines write themselves.

Really though https://www.greenocktelegraph.co.uk/news/19058397.mystery-snakes-discovered-greenock/

Add another snake at Gourock train station. Plenty of rumours on the go as to the origin of said snakes, but apparently there are a few more to be discovered which should add a bit of intrigue to the morning run.

Anyone lose a snake?

They've  probably been living in warm cannabis factory/loft.

I reckon so as well. If they weren't already brown bread and dumped out the open then good chance the thermals of Scotland in January would have done it. Probably not what they evolved to cope with.

Some terrified Chinese folk had a big corn snake come up through a toilet in their flat in Gorgie. Unsurprisingly, nobody wanted to know/help. I looked for it but didn’t search that hard tbh. It probably belonged to the drug dealers upstairs.

Aye a guy who was owed tick went down in his saloon, nicked his 15 massive snakes with no experience and dumped them about the place like trophies.

^^^what i was told earlier 😂😂😂

Either that rumour or the one that a container came off a ship at the container terminal from Bolivia, full of exotic animals, and an apprentice left the container door open and they escaped. How one of the snakes then made it up to the cut mind you is another question. Probably got the Overton bus.

Seen both of these and not sure which one is more ridiculous. Can just imagine a 10ft python making its way from the container terminal, crossing about 20 busy roads over a 2 mile journey up to the cut without being seen, ran over or stabbed. One only made it as far as the Broomy before slithering off its mortal coil which is frankly a poor effort.

The snake that had the right idea was obviously the one headed for the ferry in Gourock for a proper day out.

We'll see where the rest of them end up, if indeed there are a dozen more lurking around. Good luck to them, hope they eat a few seagulls.
