I could be persuaded that 18 teams is the right amount for the LL but obviously the extra teams should be promoted in the correct manner. Especially if it meant the EOS and WOS champions getting automatic promotion each season.

grinderbrokeyourhearts
£4K. Surely everyone can see that a home tie vs Clydebank, Pollok, Talbot, Musselburgh and the likes will generate that no bother. And of course turn us into a proper league again. Teams that can fundamentally change their starting 11 as the win doesn’t matter don’t belong in a league set up. It’s that simple.

Whereas a team coming up from the East or West could win the league and become an inconvenience to them. Lets be clear, there are no thoughts about the rest of the pyramid here, this is all about a paltry amount of money.
FairWeatherFan
Board will back it since two teams bring in 100k. 64k to the LL teams, leaving 36k to help administer the running of the league. Not like they'd get that from sponsorship. That's how they'd justify supporting the idea. As well as the usual benefiting Scottish football fantasy land nonsense.

It’s getting relegations sorted. At least 2 down, I’d say 3.

GallowayBlue
Is it a simple majority of the 16 teams with someone from the league having a casting vote? So essentially need 9 against? Is that doable?

Not sure on the exact details but it was 10-5 last for B teams to enter in 2023/24 with some clubs using the excuse of the Conference League threat to vote yes. Edit: 2022/23 was an 8-8 split "The secret ballot produced an 8-8 split, but the motion was carried thanks to Lowland League chairman Thomas Brown’s casting vote." https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/tranent-reveal-how-they-voted-after-lowland-league-accepts-celtic-hearts-and-rangers-b-teams-3723404 Edited December 17, 2023 by stanley

Similarly with Civil Service.

As it was along the lines as being in the best interests of the league due to the money involved.

They aren’t boosted in every game, but there are plenty examples, particularly last season when Rangers were in the league that club’s got their best gate against B teams, often by a considerable margin. Going back to the vote, if it’s once again a simple majority, I find it difficult to believe that the B teams will get the nod based on the current offer, and it would be good to put his to bed once and for all. Dunning1874
With no threat of the Conference League for the gullible to fall for/cynical to hide behind this time, it'll be clear that anyone voting Yes to this just wants B Teams there. Hopefully that's enough to end this nonsense for good.

Hopefully the ex-junior and ex-SPFL clubs all vote against it and only another two no votes would be needed.

Marten
Albion Rovers replacing pro-B teams Spartans could help change things here. It was 8-8 last time when not including the vote that included the Conference league threat. Hopefully common sense will prevail and B-teams will be kicked out this time.
