Radford
Only going off Transfermarkt but they seemed to be 4-1-4-1 all of last season but he's changed shape in both PSV ties, 3-1-4-2 in Eindhoven then a damage limitation (?) 4-4-2 (two 6s) at home. So hard to know what to expect...
PauloPerth
Given our lack of creativity and scoring prowess just now before we’ve got into our stride and acquired new attacking players and bedded them in, surely we go ultra defensive. 5-3-1-1. Usual back 5, midfield of McCann Bryson and Davidson with Wotherspoon off MOH as a bit of pace on the counter or Kane if fit to win us free kicks up the park. Sit in and defend, it’s what we’re good at. Attacking set pieces could be key for us in nicking something. Frustrate them as much as possible to get their own crowd on their backs, especially after their result in the last round. Clark Rooney Kerr Gordon McCart Booth (if fit) McCann Davidson Bryson (or Craig) Wotherspoon Kane

Think the closest Scottish side in terms of style would be Rangers. Happy to have a slow, possession, build up, and CMs are a nice mix of styles, with the main playmaker likely to drift in the wings and central. Full backs will be pushed high to provide the real width. Don't know exactly their strongest line up but seems wedded to 4-4-2 at home to weaker sides and would guess it'll be Babel and Falcao are fit. But that's all based on just numbers, I've not watched enough of them to know for sure, and it'll depend on line ups etc.
Radford
Key for Saints will be finding the pockets of space for Wotherspoon. Is that gonna be out wide or more central? From what @RandomGuy. has said, probably wider and allows Davidson to play his preferred 5-2-3. Doesn'took like they'll outnumber us in central midfield directly either. Do you keep Devine in or go with Booth, that might be the hardest call. I think you play Davidson over Bryson and both over Liam Craig. Need a big game from McCann. Clark Kerr - Gordon - McCart Rooney - Davidson - McCann - Booth O'Halloran - Kane - Wotherspoon Going with O'Halloran hardly ideal but we are short of options. Would have no problem at all if manager went with Devine at LWB. Edited August 1, 2021 by Radford

Based on last season + the PSV games, will potentially be miles out. 4-4-2 seemed their go to against weaker sides though, and I'd imagine they'd view us as that. Looks like it often becomes a sort of 4-2-3-1 with Turan moving in the the AM position and Babel going left wing, so we'll need to prevent space in front of our CBs. Don't seem to have a single winger who defends at all though, if Babel is left wing then he won't track Rooney every time. FB options all look relatively poor defensively too.
tree house tam
The 2 new backs for them are definitely going to play and they like to attack so that's where the spaces will be imo. Hit on the counter and with speed and don't be scared to hit it from outside the box, their keeper is dodgy.
Radford
Best outcomes in the draws later today? Looking at the clubelo.com rankings (Saints: 1330), you'd group it like this: Europa League: AZ (1660) Zorya (1535) Sturm Graz (1519) Antwerp (1514) Randers (1422) Conference League: Rennes (1614) LASK (1564) Tel-Aviv (1542) Anderlecht (1513) (Novi Sad) (1412) (Trnava) (1393) (Laçi) (1261) Avoid AZ, ideally draw Randers, and avoid Rennes and LASK/Novi Sad and take either of the other two potential ties.

We can draw Fenerbahce as there is no country protection in this round! https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/draws/2022/2001490/ Please note that, in accordance with the regulations, no country protection is applied and clubs from the same association can be drawn against each other.
mizfit
Hahaha we’re definitely getting both of the Istanbul sides then.
Steve McQueen
Randers felt like the best draw if we can beat Galatasaray.
The Real Saints
Lovely Europa League draw (still difficult, of course). Let’s hope for similar luck in the Conference League one.
jamamafegan
That’s an incredibly kind dra’. If we somehow get past Gala we would have a genuine chance of getting to the Europa League.
Radford
Is Randers far from Midtjylland? Baboon City is back on the cards.
jamamafegan
Make no mistake here, if we somehow beat the Turks - which is unlikely - we will have an incredible opportunity to progress to the Europa League group stage. Randers have won two major honours, play in a 10,300 seater stadium and finished 6th in the Danish Superliga. They are basically the Danish St. Johnstone. It is most certainly possible. Pray for SJFC.

The Real Saints
The 4th best team in Serbia or the 4th best team in Austria. I’m happy enough to avoid Rennes.
tree house tam
LASK are decent. We're just going to need to beat small club.
