forameus
Think it's harsh to point to Marshall for the 2nd. Maybe he could have sat a little deeper, but that's something likely any keeper would be doing. For that goal to go in, there's a lot of stuff that's got to go against you. Hendry shouldn't be shooting there given what's behind him, but even then, Schick is 50 yards out. 9 times out of 10 you f**k that up. He didn't, and an incredible finish. He's the difference.
gaz5
Hugely disappointing. Robertson and Hanley the stand-outs in a poor performance,as well as Adams. He, Forrest, maybe Gilmour should all start on Friday. As good a game as Hanley had, he contributed to both goals against. Sums up Scotland.

I’m thinking more in terms of damage limitation and preventing a real embarrassing exit. The England game scares me to death in terms of a potential drubbing. I’d rather we had a go at Wembley than concede meekly.

Paco
Really looks like we’re out if we lose at Wembley on Friday. Last time teams went out with three points and -2 GD, 0 was the limit to go through. Assuming defeat at Wembley it’s a 3-0 win best-case scenario needed. It isn’t last time, of course, and maybe lower tallies will do it this time. Probably going to need a few thumpings from the big teams across the rest of the groups.

In our last six competitive games we’ve won once, and that was at home to the Faroes. In that run we have lost to Slovakia and lost and drew to Israel. The reality is we aren’t very good and we only qualified due to that nations league nonsense and some luck in penalty shoot outs. We got found out today. Czech Republic getting fucked with Covid also helped us qualify.
Glennie
Robertson and McTominay stick out like sore thumbs as our most capable footballers. Hanley played well too. We have decent and mediocre players otherwise. Rockets up arses on Friday or we're getting skelped.
TheScarf
Christie was fine in the first half. He looked like he could actually threaten the Czech back line. it's just unfortunate that he was chosen as the sacrificial lamb at half time because his manager had made a cunt of it.

It's also been forgotten that although we beat the Czechs the last time, we absolutely robbed them - I'd argue that was a very, very similar match with different outcomes in front of goal. There seems to be a myth that we've been playing well - we've not been. We've played like this for most of Clarke's games. We've had the rub of the green in some of those games and qualified via the easiest possible route - and still required 2 shoot-outs. Today was perfectly in line with recent performances.

I think we've more to fear from ourselves than from any of the teams in the group. Even with how the Czech's played, have a bit of composure and turn a half-chance into a good one, and the game changes. But we shat every single one, and played harem-scarem stuff that never really threatened them. It's a bit harsh to the Czechs, but I'd say we lost the game just as much as they won it.
Sooky
More than anything, that game was a massive missed opportunity. We’ve played worse and scraped by games before. Our finishing really let us down. Can’t miss so many decent chances in an international tournament.

DA Baracus
The mentality was off, once again. We were playing to 'keep it tight', again. It didn't work, again. When our world cup group was drawn folk were saying we could win it. Others, including myself, said there was no chance, and it's because we just don't have the mentality. We are defence first all the time. We are just far too negative. We showed it against Austra and Israel, and we showed it again today. Even so, we did create a lot of chances. Imagine how many more we could have created had we went in to the game intending to take the game to them. Why is there no confidence that we can at least try to do it? We have decent enough players to give it a shot. Instead we shite ourselves once more, too terrified of losing that we don't attack as we could. Been the same stuff for years.

Ulises de la Cruz
Croatia and England will pump us. We brought our finishing from the Luxembourg game to this. Clarke shat it with the subs and formation especially when we were chasing the game. Robertson and Hanley only players who get pass marks.
