HalfCutNinja
What the f**k is going on with Scotland and left-backs? Did Roberto Carlos come here for a few summers when he was younger and fling it aboot like Tiger Woods on viagra? Could there possibly be an international side in the world as good at LB as Scotland? How good would we be if we were as good in every position as we were at LB?
accies1874
You could probably come up with a reasoned explanation* if it was full-backs in general but it's weirder that it is left-backs and, hopefully until now, no right-backs. *A position that's about a lot of physical attributes, endeavour and tenacity more than the technical side. Also inverted wingers/attacking full-backs changing the position to accommodate past wingers who couldn't do the sexy aspect.

I know people without a scoob will be saying Doig at fault for that goal a minute ago but he wasn't really and I didn't like the keeper flapping his arms at him that doesn't help anyone. The damage was done before that by whoever it was that gave it away out wide allowing the cross to come in, you can't really blame a defender with a standing jump for not winning a header when the guy has a run on him. Good lesson for him to get turned slightly and have a look at where he is before the cross comes in, be stronger, more robust and at least jump into him to nudge him off balance if you can't win it to make sure he doesn't win it clean, but not his fault really. Anyway he looks quality and there are so many others, even Robson at Utd would be in contention on the other side if he was a RB but at LB he has no chance. We've got them coming out of our ears.
accies1874
Hickey pinging crossfield passes to Doig for the U21s will be a great sight. Add in Jamie Hamilton strolling out from CB and we'll look incredible until it all falls apart further up the park.
