Don't doubt something like this may have been said at some point in meetings but that's very different from something being voted on by LL clubs at a general meeting after that league had been constituted. I think it's quite telling that people who followed this topic closely over the years don't remember anything being said publicly about this at the time. I certainly don't. If west junior clubs had known that there was a 16 club west division to potentially be filled at tier 5 it probably would have been a lot easier to turn the various expressions of interest on surveys from clubs like Clydebank into applications. Can remember accusations from well-connected Clydebank fans on here that Spartans were the ones primarily running the show and had treated junior clubs as an afterthought. I can certainly imagine it being mentioned, particularly in the context of a two parallel East and West Lowland League scenario. I'm not clear if this is what @Voice of Reason is referring to,.or if they're talking about a two division structure with relegation/promotion, the Lowland League 2 scenario. The three Tier 5 Highland/Lowland East/Lowland West suggestion would've quickly been nixed and I can't imagine it was ever a serious plan put to the members, even if geographically it makes sense.

Ranaldo Bairn
If they keep it at 18, but in order to admit Junior Jambos they have to forcibly relegate a side that voted to admit them that might be mildly amusing.
BornOffside
Si Ferry has been finally announced as manager of "Open Goal Broomhill FC". Seems like a rebranding of the club along with the new appointment.

energyzone
Colin Boyd, Chairman of Kilwinning Rangers made a hypothetical point on that thread that if one club refused to play the colts they (the Colt teams) would be gone within a year.Where would a club stand if they refused to play one of these entities? Are they considered regular members of the league and ties against them require to be played?

Most of them wouldn't care anyway because they'd get knocked out the moment they draw a half decent Tier 6 or 7 team.

Pyramid Watcher
I’ve heard from someone who was at last Monday’s AGM that not one person put themselves forward for the 4 available positions to be on the board, they are left with a chairman and vice chairman! How can they possibly operate like this??
