Slacker
I recently watched A Serious Man and enjoyed it, but it got me thinking: 'would it make my top 5?'. Here's a list of the films they've directed. Can you select your favourite five? Feel free to give reasons, I started writing some but I'm terrible at writing film reviews. Basically can't seem to expand further than "I like this. It was funny." 5. Raising Arizona. 4. The Big Lebowski. 3. O Brother, Where Art Thou?. 2. No Country for Old Men. 1. Fargo.
Arch Stanton
I'd have The Man Who Wasn't There as no. 5 but agree with your top 4.
djchapsticks
I only watched Fargo for the first time about 8 weeks ago after going through the series and loving it (apart from the pretty lacklustre 4th series). Great movie!
SamuraiJock
Gotta have Miller's Crossing in my 5. Would swap it in for Raizing Arizona which is in the next tier. Also really liked True Grit
Wee-Bey
Miller's Crossing is class and is an easy top 5. 5. The Big Lebowski 4. True Grit 3. Miller's Crossing 2. Fargo 1. No Country For Old Men

The Man Who Wasn't There is underrated, and tends to slip off most people's radar as far as I can tell - it's possibly a wee bit low-key for a lot of folk, but I quite liked it. Fargo is the clear winner amongst some amazingly strong competition, yah.
Ludo*1
1. The Big Lebowski. 2. No Country for Old Men 3. Barton Fink 4. Fargo 5. O Brother, Where Art Thou? The 2 latest films, Hail Caesar! and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs were utter shite and the worst of their works IMO.
Arch Stanton
I think its easy to cite The Ladykillers as their worst movie. The original version is just about the most perfect black comedy ever therefore to transport it to the USA, replace Katie Johnson with the black mama from Tom & Jerry and Alec Guinness with Tom Hanks' impression of Colonel Sanders was ill-judged at best. Rugster
Burn After Reading is brilliant. Entire cast superb in it.

Oh, it is, No doubt. BUT... Forget the original, forget the act that it's a Coen Bros. film, and there's worse ways of spending a couple of hours. As for a top five - that's going to change regularly, but, right now - 5. Barton Fink. 4. Miller's Crossing. 3. Oh Brother, Where Art Thou. 2. Fargo. 1. The Big Lebowski. Well, in all honesty, places 3-5 will change regularly. The top two are pretty much nailed on. Sit me down in front of Buster Scruggs, Raising Arizona, A Serious Man, or No Country for Old Men, mind, and I wouldn't complain.
