Arbroath vs Raith Rovers

Recommended Posts

Poor game of football with two sides cancelling each other out. A draw a fair result and reasonably pleased with a point.

Nouble is obviously an excellent player given all the reports but did very little today, credit to Lang and Berra for that.

We also struggled for quality in the final third, think we missed the movement that Connolly brings in the final third, Zanatta poor and Ross looked the most likely if something was going to happen. Looked like we were set up to battle and be tight defensively first and foremost and hope we could nick it with a bit of quality in the final third but nobody could deliver.

All in all another demonstration of the evolution of the side from last season. We are still the best footballing side in the league on our day but when it’s not our day the last 3 matches have shown we are still capable of digging in and getting something from the game in a different way.

Brutal game but we merited a draw. Arbroath had the better chances and we really struggled to adapt in a 3-5-2 but our defence kept everything at bay. Tom Lang in particular put in a colossal performance. The game opened up a little with Ross and Tumilty coming on but we never created anything of meaning. Given the circumstances, its a good point.
