Stormrelic
Carluke Rovers Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas Devine as the Club’s First Team Manager. The former Forth Wanderers manager will take charge of the First Team from next week and will meet players and staff on Wednesday in preparation for next weeks fixture v Newmains United. Devine comes with a wealth of experience to the role and will be assisted by current assistant manager John Lennox. Devine said. “ Firstly I just wanted to say a big thank you to the Commitee for giving me the opportunity to manage this fantastic club. After speaking to Paul Davies and Stevie Kane it's clear the club have all the right foundations to progress in the pyramid and it's a really exciting time to be coming into the club. I am really keen to get started, meet the players, many of whom I have good knowledge of and it's great to know I will be coming into a squad with lots of good qualities already established. My main focus coming in, is to use my experience to help build towards promotion and get the results that will see us challenging at the right end of table. I have no doubt there are exciting times ahead for Carluke and I'm delighted to now be part of that future. Paul Davies said “ We are delighted to have Thomas on board and it was really important to the committee that we retained the services of John Lennox, John Brian and Ritchie Steel. We decided as a committee not to advertise the post and to try and get someone in who we felt could work within the current structure and realise the vision of the club, we spoke to one or two candidates however when Thomas become available we made it our priority to try and get him in. “John and the backroom staff have been first class and were superb for me when I was in the role, we felt we didn’t want to lose that experience and continuity” “The committee would like to take this opportunity to wish Thomas, John and the rest of the backroom staff all the best for the future”.
