nomorekelso
Hi folks, I am a coach at Edinburgh City 18s, and I believe under 18s(so we're being told) is the last year and there are no longer an under 19s setup going forward. I have a few lads who I feel are capable of perhaps stepping upto a very good Edinburgh City 20s side with a few of them in and out of their training of late. However there are some who would be better suited elsewhere to continue their development. We've got quite a big squad and I wouldn't want them to fall out of the game. I am trying to arrange friendlies(midweek) between now and season end to get teams to have a look at the lads or alternatively arrange for someone to watch upcoming games to see if they like any the players and can maybe perhaps invite them along to train with your side. I 'successfully' managed to get one lad upto the 20s side from last season with another having to get a job. Edinburgh City 20s side also took 4 lads from the 2005 age group up and they've been there ever since which is great for their development. Any questions feel free to DM me. Thanks
oldandround
Form them into an amateur side. Leafa is running conferences this year, but next year your lads would enter div 4. there are 3 last year under 19 sides (well would have been if not for covid) who just went into the leafa ranks with mostly 19 and 20 year olds. Dalkeith Longniddry Bonnyrigg doing mostly ok. also 2 university sides of young lads too. Your lads will do fine and at least you will be able to keep them all together!
nomorekelso
Some of the 19s have asked the question in regards to going amateurs, already not sure what route they plan on taking.
WestHibee
We would be interested at Camelon Juniors U20s. Already have quite a few lads from the Burgh
