Found this on another site, and thought it would be of interest to some people...

VOTE DAILLY!

This campaign has been started after Dailly's heroic performances against Germany and more specifically his after-match comments. I urge all Scotland fans to vote for Dailly at http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tv_and_rad...003/3222842.stm .

There is the added incentive that it might prevent Jonny Wilkinson from winning it

So please vote for Christian Dailly to win the BBC Sports Personality of the year award! :D

Unfortunately the only winner (and yet again even more unfortunately it is deserved) is going to Be Johnny Wilkinson...... But keep voting you never know how close to no 1 you can get him, although i bet that it will be 3 rugby players..... vote rigged and 5 mins for all other sports 55 for rugby.

Wilkinson has it in the bag and the England Rigby World Cup team will get team of the year. I can see the gloating already.

That may be true, but just think of those BBC arse's sitting at their computers getting Christian Dailly votes all day!! It's just funny to see how close he will get to the top 3! :P

A few years ago the Angling times got its readers to vote for Bob Nudd the Angling Champion, The BBC said they recieved just under 750,000 votes for Nudd, yet he didn't even get a mention on the show.

The BBC have admitted the nominee must have achieved something of note

A better idea would be to vote for Scott Harrison, He's won the World Title twice this year!

Although from the BBC website, the Scottish one is close, and they mentioned Scott Paterson (our kicker at rugby for those that dont know) WHo had a great world cup, and wait for it, OUTSCORED wilkinson untill the quarter final stages.

It looks like the most deserving sportsman from Scotland however is going to be Harrison the boxer, although i do think Dailly will run him close.
