Disappointing that only 5% of your fans have bothered watching it.

Even more disappointing is that we will only have about 5% of their fan base in a couple of years time at this rate.

Still, at least that will keep us warm when we are holding on to  1-1 at home to Stirling Uni. Probably played at Dumfries High School as Palmerston will have been sold for housing.

AGM currently happening now

Makes sense as to why they're not spending money to get rid of Bartley.

Well it'll make plenty of folk happy. The fear now (is the only reason I haven't been overly screaming for their heads) is who takes over. And will it mean Bartley stays next year as a result?

Concerning times. Can't help but think it's folk jumping off a drowning ship but I really hope it's a fresh start.

For me the only way this lot will take any notice is if nobody turns up to the games.

Have two or three home games before the end of the season when no home fans turn up at all. No hospitality bookings the lot.

They really are not taking any notice of fans, so perhaps something like this will get the message across.

not sure that will make much difference. we have lost more than 700 fans over the past few years and that hasn't made much difference so whats another 700

I'd just heard this.

Not sure what to make of it.

Agreed.
Be interesting to know the actual wording  used. Is it stepping down no matter what or a declared intention to go when someone takes over.
Uncertain times.

Fan ownership. Look what it’s done to Morton

We got a tad "lucky" in  that we found Dalrada who quickly became a key partner and have pumped substantial amounts of money into us helping Dougies budget and the off field operations. Before that, we were really struggling under fan ownership and the budget was horrendous apparently.

We also drew Rangers and Celtic away in the space of 8 months last year which generated an estimated half a million. We won't get that every season.

We've had a good cup run this season so will pick up decent prize money, 2 TV payments and gate money against Motherwell and Hearts so that should help our finances this season too.

We (Stirling) have been fan owned for 14 years now and have barely left the bottom league in that time.

It saved the club at the time as we had a an ageing chairman and alot of debt that had to be written off and nobody interested in taking over the club.

It's the right path to go down if you are bleeding money and need to save the club and get some stability but the trade off is you are unlikely to have much on field success.

If a serious offer to take over the club now from a private investor was on the table and the due diligence was done, I think most Stirling fans would vote for it. Fan ownership saved us, but we need real investment if we are to ever properly grow.
