The General Ross County Chat Thread

Recommended Posts

I read P&B on my phone more than on computer these days, and (in full mode anyway) I usually find myself zooming in or out to make posts as readable as possible. This usually means the identity of the poster is off to the side somewhere, meaning I need to 'swipe' to the side if I want to know who wrote something.

It is INCREDIBLE how often I'll read some whining, sarcastic, 'poster clearly in someone other than his own team's thread' drivelling nonsense, and swipe to the side to discover it's a Dundee fan.

Great post. Will read again.

Is Deefiant like a pop-up add to a main feature you're streaming (whatever: football game, porn, box-set) - you know the videoclips with the shite whittering chat about nothing that just appear unwanted in the middle of the main feature?

My shite chat was so "shite" and "whittering" you decided to adopt and adapt it for your own purposes whilst completely ruining the spirit of it by making numerous spelling errors.

Nice one.

Tell your friends!
Stagsby you're back! I thought you were consficated at customs, never to reach the homeland. Get a seat on the bus to Killie and we can share Haribo and talk tactics. Or join us in the Staggie Bar after the Dundee United game.
Hiya :) Can't do Killie but hopefully post-United will work :)

At least the former players and managers thread is going well...

We seem to have been diverted from this thread's real purpose of giving a commentary to OTB's main feature, so I'd just like to point out that RSB now seems to have taken to trolling. He's finally getting the hang of the internet!

Aye, noticed that too! The man's a hero, I wish he was my uncle. Uncle Buff, off looking for fishies.

A home match against Ayr is probably as good as we could have hand picked, they'll be a good game but one I'd expect to qualify from.

Although only 2-0, The Rangers fairly crushed them in terms of possession and chances created last night, and at their own place. I don't think Ayr took a shot until the last 15 minutes or so. I'm looking forward to Tuesday, not saying it's in the bag, but hoping for a morale-boosting outing with a few goals for the home side.

Actually, related: I know the 'rusty' excuse/explanation, and the fact that he's actually a lot more capable and reliable, but after Reckord's performance against Hearts there's no way I'd be starting him against Killie. Depending how the game's going, maybe give him the last half hour, with a view to starting him on Tuesday against Ayr.

You spelt it wrong, but I'm waiting for Sir Stagsby the Great to turn up at a game in a tux. Not for hospitality or anything, just because that's how he dresses.

I like to think he's got a complete collection of programmes going back to 1974, but he's never read them and has torn out all the manager's messages so no one else can either.

Perhaps too he has a small mansion at the other end of the Cromarty firth and when night games are played, he mournfully stands in his garden, gazing at the floodlights. That'd make him more of a Nick Carraway character though, and I can't think of a humorous County twist on his name.
